The person we worked with directly was very friendly. However our experience was less than stellar.
We have been members for a long time and I have helped all of my kids open accounts at UCCU. Today we attempted to open a small auto for my daughter to help her build her credit history. The loan was for around 1/3 the value of the vehicle she is purchasing. She literally had 2 1/2 time the amount of the loan in her account and had A credit rating. And they turned her down. Their solution was "we will just hold the money in your account equal to the loan amount and then charge you auto loan interest". Are you kidding me?? What a joke! This should have been one of the easiest loans to write, but I guess not if you are even thinking about going to college.
I recommend all students stay away from UCCU for loans. Super disappointed in them and will consider moving our business to another...

So the statement is false that you do not assist with bill of sale as the buyer got the paperwork from your branch and filled it out with the employees assistance. Granted, even that was filled out incorrectly. Do yourself a favor and stay away from this credit union.
I purchased a car that had a loan through them from a private party. They had filled out the paperwork incorrectly saying that the plates were not still on the vehicle while I was away getting the cash from my bank. The plates were not removed from the vehicle and I got pulled over and got a warning ticket due to the paperwork reflecting the plates were not sold with the vehicle. Can’t say I would recommend doing business here after my experience. I wonder how many other people who are not even clients of this credit union has been screwed...
