I was in this location yesterday looking for a children's dress for a special occasion. Before I found the section I along with my sister found ourselves upstairs browsing the home department, which as nice as it was did not have the greatest selection. My eyes locked on the Swarovski ornament display and I was casually checking them out when the salesperson who was initially across the room helping someone else basically ran over to me and crowded my space asking me all kinds of questions just generally rude and abrasive. I feel as if I was profiled at this moment as if I was going to steal something so insignificant. She continued to watch me the whole time I was browsing ($8 ornaments. Really!) And just created a very uncomfortable experience for me. The worst part is that I really wanted the ornaments but refused to buy anything at this point and just left. It worked out for the better though as I found both the swarovski ornaments I wanted at Macy's alot cheaper!! Since June of this year I bet I've spent around 5K at this location but never again, I'll just make the trip to the Haywood location. Someone who calls themselves some kind of manager called me about an hour after this review was published and made it even worse by cutting me off and assuming I only put this review on here to get a gift card. Seriously the words out of his mouth were, ā Iāll try and find who did this but youāre not getting a gift cardā. I think an unconscious bias class would do this company some good. Till then Iāll continue to shop at other locations as Iāve never had this problem at any other store, even walking in in less than flattering attire. Must be...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI decided to come to the mall after being in Spartanburg for a Volleyball tournament. So I came to the mall and decided to stop into Dillards. I have been looking for an Brahmin hand bag specifically the large Amelia. I found the perfect one just to found out it was a retuned item. Very soil in the inside, even found a quarter and some-other item. I was disappointed however that is not why I am rating this store a 1 star āļø The bag was on a security rope I ask the sales associate (Heather) if could see the bag. I had to asked had again. Maybe she could or hear me over the mask I thought. I decided that I Wanted the handbag, but wanted my sisters opinion on it so I took a picture. She (Heather) the ask if I wanted her to hold the bag behind the register, and I said no. Because I was already feeling some kind away about her not wanting to take the bag off of security rope.I decided to get it before I found out that it was used and it was a return item. My sister text me back and said she loved it get it. The sales associate continue to follow me around the store we went to the counter showcase I looked at the Louis Vuitton bags she still followed me around the handbag department. One lady was standing there ready to be checked out. I told her she could go and check her out because I was still looking. Then I saw security who also started to follow me around the handbag section. We proceeded to the checkout I asked her her name. Heather was definitely profiling me. I donāt think I have ever felt this in a Dillards store before I bought my Ashwaganda...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIf the nearest other Dillardās wasnāt in Greenville I would never come to this store. I only come now if I need something same day which I try not to need anything same day based on how rude the sales women are. The Gentlemen here are very respectful and seem to not have the same mindset as most of the the women who seem to think this is still 1950 they follow you around like you steal. I phoned in my complaint and after speaking with a GM who was nice and apologized (this is the reason I didnāt stop shopping at the store all together)now all of my purchases are now online bc I refuse to be followed based on the color of my skin. If they knew what I spend on an average they would be sick (they would have a very nice commission). Stop assuming everyone of a certain color is a thief bc what I was told by the police you would be real surprise who really are the...
