Mac's Market — Local services in Stowe

Macs Market is an excellent place to shop. It’s a nice little convenience store and it may not be a full grocery store but they definitely have the essential things that you need.

They’ve got a great selection of various cheeses. They’ve got beer and milk and even refrigerated, food and toiletries, such as toilet paper, toilet bowl cleaner, etc. ground coffee, and in the back, they do have a deli for slicing various meats or cheeses.

But again, it may not be a full grocery store however, it is a great and excellent place to shop. and it is a nice and organized and clean little convenience store.

I would recommend this store to others. I would recommend to other people that it is a nice to shop and grab some food and various drinks like beer and milk, etc.

And the cashiers are very nice, friendly and helpful.

Paid for items at cash register and noticed when I got to the car that I was charged too much for an item. Went right back in to talk to the clerk's about it and pretty much said the pricing they couldn't do anything and argued that the label was correct despite taking one if the clerk's back and showing them the improper label. Had to try and politely haggle with them and they finally half relented and let me exchange for two similar items that equaled the price of the improperly labeled item. They were not overtly rude but it felt like I was inconveniencing them. Will probably not shop here again and go to...

The old checkout lady here is extremely rude and shouldn’t be in a customer facing role. Yelled at me and my friend when one of us didn’t have an ID and wouldn’t let me purchase cider even though 3/4 people had our IDs and were in our late 20s. The issue wasn’t this, it was the level of rudeness. She then gave us “a piece of unsolicited advice” to leave my friend outside who didn’t have her wallet on her. My friend is Asian and this felt racist. Would certainly not shop here again after...
