Had the pleasure to attend the grand opening on Saturday, 3/16. It was awesome to see the community that gathered for the opening and shows not only the strength of GW and their line of games and product but the pulse of the hobby... which will only be growing with the addition of another shop as well as the growth of GW in recent years with more recent news on the Amazon production.
Jacob has done an excellent job preparing for the store. His promotion and engagement online was a positive sign he is a great fit for this type of brick and mortar location and his enthusiasm and personable nature on opening only solidified that. He was awesome as well as the guys who were there helping him from GW HQ. It was really great to take part and see a store opening... even better that Erie isn't as far from 716 as one would think so I look forward to recommending it to my customers for a day trip (between Warhammer and other local shops it's totally worth it) as well as coming down myself for events. I've never taken part in a challenge... and now seems to be my chance!
I love the process of being able to do in-store orders that allow for pickup which might be my answer going forward for some of the holes I need to fill with my armies as well as Kill Team, Warcry, and Necromunda.
Thank you again for an amazing experience and...
Read moreI have to update my review. After coming here for years with Jacob as the manager, there is a stark contrast in customer service between him and the new manager, Mario. Our gaming group in Warren has found Mario lacking in knowledge and friendliness as well as willingness to meet our needs. We have had several club members come up for product, mini of the month, and most recently armies on parade. Everytime they have come in, Mario is more concerned about socializing with his friends than talking to the customer. One of our members brought in his son to check out the hobby and Mario didn't take any time at all for him.
Jacob was an outstanding manager who provided super friendly customer service. I highly recommended this store if you were looking for help getting into the hobby but Mario is lacking in the customer service department. Griffons Lair can meet your needs better and at a discounted price. Games Workshop, you should probably start sending some secret shoppers to check on your...
Read moreI had a fantastic experience at this Warhammer store! The Mario was not only friendly but also incredibly knowledgeable — whether it was rules clarifications, painting tips, or list-building advice, they were ready to help. The atmosphere is welcoming for both new players and veterans, with plenty of demo games and hobby tables to encourage community involvement.
The store itself is well-stocked, carrying the latest releases as well as a strong selection of paints, brushes, and hobby tools. I really appreciated how organized everything was, making it easy to find what I needed.
What really stood out was the sense of community. Regular events, painting workshops, and game nights make it much more than just a retail space — it feels like a true hub for the Warhammer hobby.
If you’re a newcomer, this is a great place to learn. If you’re a long-time player, it’s a great spot to connect with others and expand your collection. Highly...
