I am no stranger to Greek Mediterranean food.. but I am new to most foods from Turkey. I have seen Shawarmas all over social media and wanted to try them! So I went on Uber Eats and I saw your BOGO’s and thought Shawarma can wait because ohhh those bowls that’s lunch for tomorrow! It was an adventure ordering using Google to teach me about Balila & Freeke but I took it as an adventure! I was rewarded quickly and mightily with a SERIOUSLY heavy bag of food! The portions are ridiculously generous and the flavors while somewhat new were wonderful! I do have 2 questions.. I got the shock of my life with several very dark and LARGE beans.. they weren’t bad, interesting texture but what are they? Also the steak shawarma.. that is carved from the spit right? Is it supposed to be crisp and chewy? After doing some Googling again I can see that the outside of the giant piece of meat exposed to heat for awhile could get crispy.. Is that the way it is supposed to be? It wasn’t bad by any means just kind of surprised me. Also at the top of my bowl what is the lemony white stuff? Is it Garlic Whip because it to me was just very lemony.. it wasn’t bad, just different! Didn’t really taste of garlic and it was absolutely white as snow! Overall it was very different but also very nice and I will be ordering my Shawarma wrap soon!

Recently, we discovered a new Mediterranean restaurant in Tampa's downtown area and were eager to try Nana Middle Eastern Street Food for dinner. On Friday, we took advantage of the chance to dine out and enjoy their cuisine instead of cooking at home. The restaurant was located approximately 20 minutes away from our residence, situated in the downtown area. Due to its location, finding parking could be challenging and expensive. Upon entering the establishment, a friendly server warmly greeted me, and I was immediately impressed by the restaurant's ambiance. I noticed that the menu had a variety of drinks, including Berry Blast, Mandarin, Peach, and Orange Juice. For my meal, I couldn't decide between the Shawarma or Shish Taouk bowl, so I sought the server's advice. He kindly offered me a taste of Chicken Shawarma and Shish Taouk, allowing me to decide on my dinner. Although I was fond of both options, I ultimately chose the Chicken Shawarma bowl. It was incredibly flavorful, packed with various ingredients, and the accompanying sauce was delightful. The portion size was also satisfactory for a single serving. Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed my meal. I highly recommend trying the Mediterranean restaurant! I personally enjoyed my experience there

I've been going to Nana's since they first opened. Sadly, the quantity of the portion (including bowl size itself) as well as quality of food went downhill. The bowls got smaller while the portion of the rice got bigger. Things they were at no additional charge are now extra. Protein is now a very small scope of meat or chicken, very dry 9 times out of 10. If you want more, you have to pay extra $4 or so making the price to go up to $20 - not worth it! Even standard bowl with very little protein doesn't justify the price (nearly $16). All add-ons/veggies are also measured with a tiny scope. When I am ordering in person, I have to ask "more" multiple times otherwise I end up with the bowl half empty because I only like select veggies and their standard micro scoops are nothing. When ordering online, you cannot even ask for more. For instance, in today's order I had a total of 4 very small pieces of cut off pickled cucumber, that's it. It was counted as veggie add-on, one out of 8 (limit is 8 now too). I've got a bowl full of rice pretty much. Not worth the price. Online options don't represent what they have in person either. Very disappointing.

If I didn't have it to compare to how it used to be before, I wouldn't be that sad now, but would never be their costumer for that...
