The Vault — Attraction in Tampa

I have gone to The Vault 3 years in a row, but after tgis last time, I'm unsure I will go again. The first 2 years were amazing and even though it was a good chunk of money at $100 per person. I always felt like I got my money's worth plus some. I can understand that some changes needed to be implemented after the 2nd year, because it was already pretty repetitive for someone who had been there before although still enjoyable. This last year (2017) they went for a new experience where you got to choose which ghost you would try to help release. Pretty much it was an escape room, but a poorly done one IMO. We escaped in time, but with 10 people in such a little space it felt like most of the people were standing around watching a few complete the task at hand, because that was all that was needed. The actor who was in the room with us to help with clues so we could release our ghost, The Dominatrix, did a good job with what he was given. Unfortunately, it was a pretty big disappointment that we never got to see our ghost while we were in the basement. There were so many other things that just didn't live up to the full experience from the first 2 years that this review would become a book. I'll end this review by saying that this year I wouldn't have even paid the new lower price of $50 for my experience had I known beforehand what I would be getting. As a bride, I cannot recommend The Vault as a wedding venue.

From the very beginning, communication was a major issue. It took an unreasonably long time just to get a quote, and unfortunately, that turned out to be a sign of what was to come. Throughout the planning process, getting responses to even the simplest questions often took a week or more — sometimes up to three weeks with no reply at all.

After touring the venue, I began planning my wedding based on the information they provided. However, I repeatedly received incorrect quotes and conflicting details. Their typical response was, “I’ll check with upper management, but we can definitely do that,” which gave me false confidence. Despite their pressure to sign the contract early, I refused until I had all the details finalized — a process that dragged on for months due to their poor communication.

Then, less than three months before my wedding, they suddenly informed me that they were changing my wedding timeframe from the agreed-upon 2pm–8pm to 5pm–11pm — something we had specifically discussed and confirmed early on. They claimed they could no longer accommodate the original time, with no explanation.

At that point, I had no choice but to ask for my deposit back. I couldn’t continue planning such an important event with a venue that was consistently disorganized and unreliable.

Not only is The Vault a beautiful venue, but it's also conveniently located in the heart of the city, making it easily accessible for our guests. The convenience of having everything in one place – from the ceremony to the reception – made the day stress-free and enjoyable for everyone involved.

Overall, our experience at The Vault exceeded all expectations. If you're looking for a wedding venue that combines charm, elegance, and exceptional service, look no further. I cannot recommend The Vault highly enough – it truly made our wedding day a dream come true.
