Rebel Tacos — Restaurant in Temecula

I would like to first say that this place is located in a local shopping mall here in Temecula. I have never seen "Food Court" food of this quality; Especially since I had it delivered. I like to take "As Delivered Photos" so the first few are going to be those.

Thoughts as delivered: Well, I will first say that I was impressed with the Chips and Salsa as delivered. I have never seen someone take the time to put a wax paper seal over the salsa so it won't leak onto the chips. Well done! I used to hate delivering Chili's Black Beans. Trust me, those in your bag test your tongue when you clean it!! Anyhow, the second photo is after I pulled the lid off to this lovely mild Green Salsa. This isn't hot at all so if you want that, you may need to ask!

The next four photos are also as delivered with condiments. I appreciated the fact that I asked for extras so that I could taste them all. I was looking at not only a Taco, but a Burrito too! Kind of important if you like some heat and flavor added!

The remaining four photos are as I plated it to try to give you an idea of what the Chipotle Chicken Burrito looked like and the taco as well. I didn't add any sauce to any of the photos as I figured that is up to you. I wasn't a fan at first of the Green Sauce for Burrito. Oh MY! You add this stuff and the flavor of the burrito explodes!! Highly recommend using what they provided! I tried with just the sauce and still added their hot sauce. The food quality was great and well worth the wait! I have seen some people lined up here to order food the several times that I have visited this food court at the Temecula mall. I have ordered pizza at the restaurant next to it, and that was OK. Let's face it, this is a food court at a mall. I came up to the counter at Rebel Tacos and ordered 2 beef tacos , rice, and beans. The lady at the counter was pleasant and got my order in quick time. I got my food...... NASTY !!! Beans were thin paste and very salty with no flavor but salt. Rice was firm with a light red sauce and again; no flavor. I could only take a few bites of the taco and I was done !!!! The meat had very little flavor and was mushy. The tortilla fell apart as soon as I picked up the taco. The meal as a whole.... in the trash; NASTY !!! A Hispanic family of 4 ordered from Rebel Taco and my wife said that the mom took one bite of her taco and put it back down into the take out box that it was packed in and they all tossed their food in the trash. We were super excited to try this new place out. No one in line when we went, though two screens were out so only advertising tacos. We got the Renegade and another one. We had asked for no onions, no cabbage, no pico, basically asking for it to be the corn tortilla, steak, sauce and guacamole on the side. Mine was just no pico, sauce on the side. When we had asked questions, the cashier didn’t really know the menu or ingredients well; we asked what kind of cheese there was, she had no idea. When we got our order, the employee handing out the food had a receipt with what we had asked, she had put everything on it from the beginning, and when telling her it was wrong, she was upset. She went back and brought it back out. No topping on mine at all (should have been corn salad and black beans as stated for the recipe). I again explained what I wanted, what was missing, still not happy took it back close to what I wanted from the beginning. We had to ask for the guacamole we paid for as they forgot about it.
