The magic is gone.
Today I felt like a kid that just discovered the truth about Santa Claus.
Over the years we've been to many Five Guys in California, Arizona and Tennessee.
Every time our number is called to pick up our order from the counter, I'm eager to retrieve the order and peer in to see how many extra fries we were given. Honestly, the experience makes me feel like a kid again searching for that cereal prize.
Today was like no other day, the anticipation of being able to reach into the bag and grab one of the overflowing/cascading french fries was quenched with the reality that my large order of fries ($6.49+tax), was just that, a large order of fries that were neatly contained in a large cup (same size as their medium drink). Not one fry more nor one fry less.
Honestly, if this was my first Five Guys experience, I would seriously question the value of my meal for future consideration.
I'm hoping that this was just a mistake, and not the new direction of management or ownership with the blame to be placed upon Covid.
There were no physical people in the establishment waiting on orders in front of us. Our order took a whopping 12 minutes to complete (2 Jr bacon burgers and a large fry). The burger and fries as usual were delicious.
I notified the crew member at the pickup window that the amount of fries that was in my order was missing the normal portions. I stated that this is the first time I ever received a skimpy order, and asked weren't they supposed to put extra fries in the bag as regular practice? No response, no restitution to compensate the extremely overpriced product.
Will this discourage me from returning to any Five Guys, No. But I will check my future bags upon pick up and immediately address any problems or commend for a job well done.
Update... This originally was posted with 4 stars, however to add insult to injury, hours after posting same review on their corporate website, I received a phone call from an associate from the restaurant who rudely questioned the validity of my order. After repeating to him a few times the information on my receipt, he acknowledged that I had dined there, and offered a complimentary replacement of our meals.
I declined offer, won't be coming to this location again. However, I did take my niece and her daughter to another location (Menifee) for her birthday, she loved it and became an instant fan... Oh yeah, they hooked us...
Read moreRIP FIVE GUYS. Lost a long time customer today. Unfortunately, this place is on a major decline. The manager Marcos couldn’t have been more unprofessional and had the nerve to even tell me that the drive from my house to come back to the restaurant to get a refund is only five minutes even the Google shows it as 10 minutes and I don’t think that includes the huge amount of holiday traffic around the mall . Don’t remember the last time I’ve dealt with a more disappointing experience from a manager who clearly is 100% unqualified to do this job. It’s time to find yourself a new burger spot in town. The food is decent here but the service really sucks if anything goes wrong. I’ve given this branch thousands of dollars on my money and today they messed up an entire order and I got home to my family and there was zero hamburgers in the bag they gave me and they were willing to almost nothing to correct the situation. I hope they felt like this was the right decision to offer me a stupid little $10 comp card When they’re gonna lose thousands of dollars of our business over the next few years. I’m not even getting a refund. The only way they’re able to do anything is if I drive all the way back across town. Not worth it. Just bad management. I’ll go to other...

This has only been our second visit, and this place is okay. The facility is fairly clean and the staff is friendly.
We visited on Thursday, 11.29.18, in support of a school. Kudos to Five Guys for forwarding 20% of the proceeds to the school's fundraiser activities.
The Cajun fries were good. They were crispy and the medium spicy garlic was a perfect combination with the fries.
On the other hand, the quality of these overpriced burgers were lacking the tender, love and care. We paid $32 for 3 double cheeseburgers. The price increase may have contributed due to solicitation of contributions to fund the school.
Consequently, using the attached picture as a reference, it seemed that there were five angry guys that had put together the burgers and they came out quite sloppy. It was practically falling apart whenever we began to take a bite. The bread was soggy and the proportions between the meat and extras were imbalanced. This was not worth the price.
In any rate, we'll sure come back again to assist the school with their PTSA...
