Honestly based off reviews and website we had really high hopes. We went here in hopes of selling our Xbox one that came with games and a memory extra storage pack. When we entered we were greeted by one person (she was very nice and the only pleasant person of this trip) she asked what we came in for and we told her, to sell our xbox. We were then brought to a guy who asked what we were there for and we told him. Sell and Xbox and games. He said okay that he was just going to go test everything and make sure it works (absolutely makes sense and was totally fine with that) while we waited we looked around. They do have great Legos. And while I was looking at the Harry Potter Lego advent calendar the 2 women workers got into a little tiff right in front of us where the boss (I'm guessing) said " hey look at me" which made me slightly uncomfortable. After that she left. The worker who was there didn't acknowledge me or look my way and ignored me about the advent calendar. So I walked away and looked at other stuff. We were told to fill out an inquiry form. Which we did. A fee mins into waiting the guy testing it came out for something. As he was going back the other worker called his name. He snapped at her and said "I'm busy doing something" which I understand letting her know you were doing something. But snapping at her in front of customers is just a but much and again made us uncomfortable. After about 10-15 mins of waiting for the guy testing our stuff. He brought it to the front counter for the girl to finish. She didn't speak to us or say anything and was just standing there staring at another guy (another boss it sounded like) after a few mins of waiting she tells him. And he looks at us and asks if we are selling it (after we have told many people this and no one said no, or that it wasn't an option) my boyfriend says yes. And the guy goes goes yeah I can't buy that.i can get it cheaper off the street (granted never once were we asked the amount we were hoping hlfor so he doesn't know how much we wanted or were willing to accept). Then tells us he's to new to do that and that they aren't buying things right now and are doing store credit trade ins. We wasted almost 3o mins of our time in there to be told something that A. Should be on their website if they aren't doing any buying when all over their website it talks about buying all kinds of stuff from people and doing trade ins. We traveled 30 mins to this place based off reviwes and their webiste. B. the many ppl who asked and we told we were trying to sell it, they should have been like no sorry we aren't doing that right now. Or posted in store. Store credit only. Instead we had to witness arguing workers and wasting our time testing it when if they aren't buying then they should all know that. It was a very disappointing experience and left us with a bad taste in our mouth. Turning us down in the beginning would've been understandable. But our time was wasted. And it's how we were treated. And the attitude we were met with. And saying you can get it cheaper off the street when you don't know what price we wanted anyways is...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWonderful family friendly space! Lots of Lego, Magic the Gathering, Dungeons and Dragons, and more! They have neat local, handmade nerdy goods for sale as well. They're the only Wizards Sanctioned store in the Dalles! So if you're a Magic player (or want to become one), they host Friday Night Magic, drafts, pre releases--all of it! Super lovely, helpful, accommodating staff (they often stay open past their close time on Fridays because it's packed with players).
And if none of that is convincing to you,...
