My husband and I stopped for lunch in the Dalles on our way home to Portland. We’d never been to the town before, but it seemed as good as any, and Cafe Enza ended up being the lunch spot of choice.
When our food came, the pizza crust sandwiches with a funny name, both of our eyes popped. My husband sat at our little outdoor table saying things like, “ Oh my god. This so good”, and “The olives, the balsamic—it’s just so delicious”.
Those statements about a veggie sandwich seem basic enough, but the thing is my husband NEVER raves about food, let along describes any aspect of it. I got the Italian and it was also delicious.    Read moreI had such a great time at Cafe Enza! From the second we walked in, the staff made us feel really welcome and relaxed. The vibe was just right—comfortable and inviting, but still nice enough that it felt like a treat to be there. The food was the star of the show. Everything tasted so fresh and full of flavor. I loved the House Sald! What I really appreciated was how friendly and helpful the staff were. They knew the menu inside and out and gave great recommendations, which made the whole experience even better. All in all, Cafe Enza is the kind of place I’d happily come back to anytime. Good food, friendly people, and a great vibe—what more...

I asked him l for his recipe and he was kind enough to share it since I live out of town. I was the last customer of the night and he didn't hurry me at all. Instead, he kept taking time to visit with me since I was dining alone, which I thought was very sweet. As I was getting ready to leave, he also gave me a free scone to take with me for a snack later. In short, the food was delicious, the company was good, and the welcome was more than friendly. Highly,...
