Not much parking I didn't notice if it had dressing rooms or not It's a spacious location. Quite environment. Nothing on the floor which is good. No high traffic in store Just chill atmosphere
New York and New Jersey locations are so much cleaner not the store itself (all the stores seem clean), I mean the merchandise. Literally if you try to sell them things that look damaged or dingy of the east coast they have a preference of selling things of quality so the consumer have good options. I'm not saying they turn everything down but a lot of things in the Torrance location should not even be on shelves without being cleaned first.
Maybe resellers or consumers don't mind a lot of extra maintenance work if they find a good item.
Apparently they accept things in any condition which I guess is good for the customer who wants to sell their product but not good for the consumer unless you like dirty looking funny smelling items. I'm just being honest.
They had only one good looking item there in store that I was like wow but it was way too big for me. It was a Nike jacket on a mannequin in the front window. I believe size 2x. It was in great condition. I was in love. It was a good deal as well. Hopefully it finds a good fashionable owner.
The shoes throughout the store are in horrible condition. I've seen better at a yard sale. It's like they were dragged the mud. And no one decided to even clean them up a bit they just put them on the shelf as is.
But apparently when I ask the staff they said that the consumers in the area like the dingy dirty look basically.
They have some good brands although the quality isn't worth it.
The second Steet locations on the East Coast are 10 times better. And they actually care about the way items look. Designer items are everywhere. So if ever on the east coast definitely frequent 2nd Street.
Some of the staff took it too personal and became offended when I was not trying to be offensive. I just simply asked about the quality of the item's. Because some of the things we're looking tattered and extremely distressed. They were nice until I inquired about the condition of items then they didn't want to help and seemed to have attitudes.
The story self was clean but had a weird smell. Does staff members all dressed well and seemed to have good fashion sense.
I wouldn't suggest the Torrance location to anyone I know yet maybe I'll try again another time I could've just went on a bad day. We'll see.
Hopefully my review is helpful. No offense to anyone just being honest and...
Read moreDon't bother coming here to sell anything; really, don't. I'd be wary of purchasing as well. I've been in this store a couple of times, one time because I had a pair of shoes I wanted to see if I could quickly sell instead of dealing with it online and they quoted me $100 for shoes that are selling for an average of $650 and upwards of $1100 on retailers like StockX and Grailed because they "aren't what's in these days" even though the shoes didn't come out very long ago and I see StockX selling multiple pairs a month. If I had accepted their offer, there is no doubt in my mind that they would have given me $100 and priced the shoes at around $700 to get a $600 profit. Left the place and never came back. Before that visit, I came to purchase a couple of things and showed them a 10% off discount code for signing up for their newsletter. They looked at my phone, discussed with another co-worker for 5 minutes, and said "We can't use discount codes on any items you have because they've all been marked down" ... Obviously they've been marked down, they're used.. It's funny to me how you can't take 10% off of a $600 item because it's been "marked down" Still bought the items but definitely won't be back. Try your luck on local businesses on Instagram that source rarer and older items than this store does while pricing them lower or a site like Grailed that has nearly anything...
Read moreThe first time I went there to sell some clothes, I had a relatively positive experience. The young man at the counter was great. He purchased three items. He showed me which of the items he selected and the dollar amount of each item. He was honest and up front with me. So the following day, I returned with a large bag of more trendy stuff - all new or like new. This time a young woman was the one who did the selecting. When she finished her selection, she called me up to the counter put her hand on what appeared to be a small pile of clothes and said "these are the items we will take and the total is $14" . She did not show me the items, nor the number of items. Being that I saw such a small pile on the counter, i agreed to the $14.
Well once I was in my car, I realized that she had taken so much more than the few little things she had on the counter. Apparently she had the other items under the counter out of sight - some very valuable designer and name brand items. This store has no protocol because my experience with this girl was very different than with the young man.
I feel like she fooled me because I wouldn't have agreed to just $14 for so many things of value. Word of advice to anyone who brings items to sell: ask for a summary of each item before you agree to...
