Caps & Corks Liquor - Deli & Grill — Restaurant in Torrance

I hope the owners are reading this because I want to be clear: the food is amazing, the amount you get for the price is worth it, and the workers are very friendly. BUT I cannot support Caps and Corks now finding out that they've used AI photos of their food for online takeout apps like Doordash and Ubereats. It's messed up and deceptive because why is there a lot of tomatoes around the sandwich? Why is the sauce inside of the bread and not layered with the other meats and veggies? Why do some menu items not properly convey the food (the breakfast options are awful, because there isn't just extra stuff around the burrito where it falls apart, it's a well formed and filling burrito). You can say that a lot of fastfood advertisements do the same thing, but not to the degree that these AI rendered images have done. Fast food adverts AT LEAST take photos of the food that they're serving with ingredients that will be part of that meal, not telling an image generator a prompt that doesn't realistically represent the restaurant.

Caps and Cork owners, you can see the photos of everyones reviews on Google, Yelp, any review site. You could pick any one of them as the photos for your food for online services, it does a wonderful job realistically showing potential customers how delicious the food is without lying about aspects of the food that aren't included. I've recommended Caps and Corks so many times before but after seeing those AI photos of sandwiches, it feels wrong to support a business willing to deceive...

I had never been to the Caps & Corks Liquor and Deli before. I am not a bug sandwich girl. Today I was craving 8ne and decided it was time to give C&C a try. WHOA! This place is delicious. I definitely will be back. I got the Not so plain Jane I wasn't even sure what I ordered it had all kinds of stuff in it. I seriously got it with everything but onion. So here is what I learned. If you go at lunch time be prepared to wait. While the guys are wizards and move fast there are a lot of orders being filled. We waited about 20 minutes and got there about 12:20 pm which isn't too bad for a Wednesday at peak luck time. There are no outside tables and no inside dining at this time. So take it to go. If you've been there and know what you love order ahead. I had no problem waiting. I watched the guys at the grill and seriously it was fun they just ROCK it. The sandwiches are HUGE so seriously you could share I ate half for lunch and the rest for dinner. Since the grill is inside a liquor store they have chips and drinks. I was impressed with the selections. Look if you're hungry and really craving a tasty sandwich loaded with flavors THIS IS THE SPOT. I took some pics and will post them. Enjoy!! Oh and the guy that works the front he is the best. He is so friendly and just great attitude to everyone even the people that aren't so cool. I have to say....

I ordered a burger and tots online.

When I arrived they gave me a burger that looked like it was rolled into a burrito. They also informed me that the fryer was not working and they could refund the $6 for the tots. I told them there's almost $5 in taxes. I had to calculate the tax for him to give me the correct change. What surprised me was that they could've called me and asked prior to my arrival if I wanted to keep my order or cancel or replace the item. SMH!

Once I got home, the bread was so soggy it was almost transparent!! It was all smashed on top of the meat and both patties were uncooked!! What a waste of $18.50 plus tax and time!

OBSOLETE!!! The burgers are really good and they have very unique sandwiches which are great as well. I really like their onion rings! They also have a large selection of alcoholic beverages some sweets and a large variety of chips and non-alcoholic beverages as well! The service today was very excellent!
