MINISO — Local services in Torrance

I've been a fan of Miniso and their adorable products. I love how they get to collaborate with so many different licensed/well known characters. Their prices are relatively cheap for novelty items.

Cons- However, something unpleasant happened on this particular location. They decided to advertise a promo where a "free item" is to be given with a purchase of 15 dollars or more. The promo was never disclosed to me at the counter..and this supposed "free item" was never given to me dispite of meeting the criteria and date range. When I came back few minutes after finding out and trying to claim, a different cashier turned me down and told me to just come back next time and that I should have claimed the free item the first time. This is even after they already double checked my receipt and items.

My rating is for their customer service. As much as I like cute stuff, i hate false advertising and bad customer service.

Please do not advertise or create a promo if it's not going to be given nor honored by all employees. It only provides false hopes and ends up dissapointing...

I would love to give five stars, and when I first started going to MINISO, it absolutely was five. Over the last year though, a lot of the selection has become rather stagnant and some of the more "experimental" products have disappeared for the most part (especially in the skincare and haircare areas). I used to love finding something new to try and add to my self-care routine, or new ways to organize my items, but right now the shop seems more focused on plush toys and more marketed items--which makes sense of course from a business standpoint. Just loved the old charm it had. Still, I like coming here to check out the perfumes and face masks or hair ties. Hopefully some of the things return that drew me in. Cute...

for a store this popular id expect it to be much more spacious. poor walking flow throughout the store and its pretty much like walking around brandy melville because of how narrow the paths are. it is also either hot or humid in there and smells awful i dont know how a store full of plushies and other small things smells so terrible.

edit: i've visited this store multiple times throughout this year alone and it still smells bad. i expected a change from my...
