Mystery Bins — Local services in Town of Clarkstown

While the whole "Mystery Bins" aspect looks promising and appealing. It certainly wasn't. When you walk into the store, you're greeted with multiple shoppers and messy bins. While walking over to a bin to see if I can find a daily "deal" on one of their items, I simply just saw empty open boxes, broken items, or trashcans for shoppers. Especially one of the boxes contained a pair of wine glasses that were completely shattered, what if a child put their hand in the box? Quite hazardous, which I'm not shocked to be the only one writing about this. A lot of the items aren't really up for a bargain. I saw an unknown air fryer brand for almost $150! I did ask one of the associates to confirm and all they did was nod their head. Quite shocking on a "$2 deal day" Whereas I saw an air fryer larger and efficient twice as cheaper for $69.99 at KOHLS!! I personally feel like, in the world we live in and inflation on the rise, I could see a business would mark up their prices higher than 5 years ago. But why the prices at a "Mystery Bins" store absolutely atrocious? Why are your cashiers making up prices at the end of the transaction? I left with two items paying more than what was expected including the sales tax. After looking at the receipt, they were not worth $2 each, but rather one being $5 more and the other $3 more after doing an estimated calculation. They shouldn't be advertising cheap deals everyday when in fact, those deals will hurt your wallet when the prices are adjusted manually at the end. The store should also consider keeping their bins organized and safe and clean at least. Doesn't need to be segregated by brand and department, just simple and clean at the end of the day when the store closes. I really wouldn't consider coming back here if you're practically...

Staff is very Rude!!! Prices are marked on wall but ring up a different price. False advertisement!!! Bring your stuff up to the front and it’s never the price of the day. Young man needs to adjust his attitude when speaking to customers. There is an educated way to speak to a person. Customer service doesn’t exist here. THIS BUSINESS IS RAN Very unprofessional. FYI- THE MAJORITY of the items are returns USED that are missing pieces and items do not work. Items on shelves in back of store are OVER PRICED and can be found cheaper at the original (target/walmart/amazon) store for what they have it listed for sale- That's why it doesn't move and just sits there. There sofas are over priced. Dirty, stained and cost more than the actual store or the same price for a stained up couch when you can buy a brand new one directly from manufacture. They are selling Costco sofas for $900 all snagged stained crooked slanted couches. Costco has the same sofa online for the same price ($900) with free delivery. a BRAND NEW FRESH COOTIE FREE ONE that's comes with a warranty!!!! This place is a scam.

It's one of the greatest schemes in retail that benefits the owners: Step 1: Buy return pallets. Step 2: Go through everything and keep 99% of the expensive good stuff. Step 3: Make social media posts with the 1% good items to get people to line up. Step 4: Sell your leftover junk to the public and sell the good stuff...

Every time I go here I spend $50-$200 dollars and I go 2-3 times a weeks, it’s says clothes are $3-$5 why at the register you charge me $8 I find this a recurring issues I also found a box it had some spoons and other utensils, he proceeded to go thru the box and tell me each item is $2 however it’s a $2 day if the customer return something what’s in the box and if it’s in the bin it's yours, most of the item is all over and will be thrown out Friday anyways, stop blaming the customers and stop increase prices at the reg. To suit you your store sign says $2 however they increase prices, the items are scattered all over and are thrown out Friday why are you arguing ever an extra utensil, when ppl are literally steal items out the box, you see everything I purchase but want to over charge me you got to treat the ppl that support your business better, I will not be going back. Other than that they keep overpricing the items that suppose to be $15-$1 and putting the good stuff on the shelf just stick to your policy stop making up prices.
