Ona — Local services in Town of Greenburgh

I haven’t reviewed a shop in years, let alone negatively. First impression was that it was far too crowded, even with just 3 other patrons. I picked out a refurbished CD and went up to the shop owner, no counter just a back area with un-purchasable clutter. After 5 minutes of standing there she acknowledged me. She asked if I can wait and then i stood there for 10 minutes while she looked around for something and texted. I finally asked if i could just pay, for i had exact change in my hand. She snatched the cd from me and scratched off the sticker while telling me it was wrong, and that the price was $10 extra dollars. I’d never go back here again. Overpriced and...

Very overly packed and unorganized. Items are meh, and very overpriced. Prices change. They are slow as molasses and do not care about the customer. I was waiting to purchase this small metal bird and the woman in front of me paid with cash and I overheard the owner give her a small discount. The item I had was apparently $22, because again prices for things kept changing...I asked the owner if I could just give her $20 in cash...this crazy white haired woman turned around and screamed, "no!". Incredibly rude woman, overpriced and crowded....

Ona and her store are the true gems of Tarrytown! I was walking down Main Street and was pleasantly surprised that this gift shop offers truly unique and fair trade items from all over the world. I enjoyed chatting with Ona, who clearly adores her store, as she tells the backstory for the items she has curated. I am visiting from out of town, and I couldn't pass up the opportunity to buy birthday gifts for all of my family and friends for the next year! You will not be disappointed...
