Ann Taylor — Local services in Town of Hempstead

The employees in this store are some OF THE NICEST people in retail!!! My first trip found me returning a pair of trousers I purchased via the Ann Taylor website. As I entered the store I was greeted by the store manager who gave me a warm hearty "Welcome to Ann Taylor," AND a $50 gift card as one of the first 50 customers to enter the store. Not only was my return seamless, but I definitely had to use the gift card I had just received ♡ I found a gorgeous pair of plaid trousers which I informed said manager: "these remind me of the pattern my late father wore to work years ago..."

My second visit found me picking up yet another item I ordered from the web. Again... the same greeting from the manager (sans the gift card) and a wonderful sales associate/cashier behind the counter♡

As a recent retiree I'm not in need to purchase any further business attire... So it's safe to say I will be able to stay within my budget-- However these wonderful ladies go out of their way to make you feel welcomed! Something that's been lacking in retail since I was a youngster. And besides I can use a few new items to wear to my church's worship service☺️

Had the best experience in this store tonight!! I came in needing the perfect outfit for a business photo shoot. I had no knowledge of what to wear, or how to start, or how to even put a suit together- all while being a size that isn’t easy to find. A nice associate told me right away to wait for Sharon, as she is an expert and would be able to help me. She was right, Sharon was ABSOLUTELY an expert! I didn’t want a plain black suit. Sharon was able to arrange the most amazing 3 piece outfit for me that really complemented my figure and wasn’t something I would have ever known to put together had I been shopping on my own. (It wasn’t an already matching suit- 3 different pieces that were unique but amazing matches to one another.) she came up with this after I tried so many other things that weren’t perfect and again- options for my size were limited. Highly recommend going in for a real customized style by Sharon. Plus she was so fun and we really had a great time. Can’t get this experience shopping online for sure. I’ve never written reviews like this for retail stores, because frankly I’ve never had this poor of an experience in one before. That is, until now. I went into Ann Taylor looking for a nice outfit for work, and I was STUNNED that the staff completely ignored me the entire time I was there. Despite there being at least 5 employees in a very quiet, empty, store I didn’t get a single “hello” or any greeting from any employee. The girl at the register fully made eye contact with me and didn’t say anything! Working in retail myself it takes a lot for me to complain, but the lack of help and rude employees in a higher end store is ridiculous. Go to White House Black Market instead which is also in the mall. They offer a lovely selection of professional, classy attire and the employees actually acknowledge you and kindly...
