I purchased my mother of the bride gown here and was very frustrated and disappointed. If I could give zero stars I would have, but you can’t post without giving at least one star. First of all, I wish the salesgirl explained how on the model the cold shoulder sleeves are pulled back for the photo shoot, but if I wanted to move my arms the sleeves would be loose and hanging. The store only carried a much larger size, so when she pulled the dress back with clips, the sleeves fit close and looked good. So I ordered the dress. At my first fitting, we had an appointment but had to wait at least 45 minutes. When I tried on the gown ordered for me in size 8, the sleeves were hanging off me. The owner and tailor insisted they could tighten it. When I returned for my second fitting, the sleeves still hung very loosely. My cousin gently suggested moving the straps to tighten them, to which the owner said “You don’t know what you’re talking about.“ (When I expressed my frustration to her privately, she denied saying that. Although she did say she “doesn’t sugarcoat things.” She explained that the tailor gets overwhelmed with too many opinions. Meanwhile there was another customer and her consultant chatting away in the room with us, waiting for the tailor’s attention who is only there on Tuesdays.) At my final fitting, the top of the gown still didn’t lay right. The tailor kept lifting my strapless bra to make it look right. Michael the owner said it looked great. It was 3 days before the wedding so I felt pressured to take it home. During the wedding, I realized the sewed in cups were at least an inch higher than my bust. I will attach a picture where you can see the higher cup with my breast peeking out below. I looked like I had 4 boobs and was constantly going to the ladies room to try and lift my boobs and bra. I wish I realized the cups were too high before I left the boutique. You can also see the botched job in sewing the sleeves where they look pinched. What should have been a magical experience turned into a very expensive ($700 gown plus $395...
Read moreI've been mother of the bride 3 times in the last five years, all formal weddings, so I've done my share of shopping around. 306 Main is the best place I've found. (And believe me, I really searched everywhere for the perfect dress each time). The selection is extensive and the sales staff is knowledgeable and helpful. I worked with Monica. Ask for her, she is fabulous! Shopping with her is like shopping with a good friend. She really listened to what I was looking for, got to know my style, made suggestions and most important, she was honest when I needed an opinion. I never got the feeling she was just trying to make a sale. She really wanted me to be comfortable and look fabulous. I don't really enjoy dress shopping, but Monica made it bearable, even fun. She knows the stock, so our appointment was smooth and efficient. I would not hesitate to recommend this place, and I'll certainly go back if I ever need a formal dress again....
Read moreIf I could rate them 10 stars I would! I purchased a mother of the groom dress from Main 306 and I highly recommend them. I worked with Marci and Monica who were amazing. I filled out the online appointment form indicating what I was looking for. When I arrived there were several dresses already waiting for me to look at. Marci and Monica really know their business- they know the inventory, colors, styles etc. They also know what looks best on your body type. They showed me several dresses that I might not normally consider but I loved when I tried them on. I actually found 4 dresses I liked and I’m not an easy fit. Both Marci and Monica wanted to make sure that I was happy both with the dress and price and they delivered. Working with them was a pleasure you won’t be disappointed. The shop is well organized, clean and friendly. So glad...
