Rogan's Shoes — Local services in Town of Rib Mountain

I'm writing this review on behalf of my mother, who had an absolutely unacceptable experience at this store yesterday - the store I referred her to for the best selection in town. She is recovering from a stroke and a hip replacement and requires a cane to walk, but she was completely ignored by five employees who were all standing at the front of the store, chatting amongst themselves.

After struggling to look around on her own, she had to ask an employee for help. The employee acted puzzled and provided minimal assistance, showing her only a few shoes. Claiming she needed to check on the other employees, she walked away and never returned. My mother, with her limited mobility, spent an hour on her own trying to find what she needed. She then had to walk back to the front just to ask for help carrying the shoes she was considering. Her decision to get dress shoes as well was scrapped when she inquired about their dress shoe selection and was directed to the other side of the store with the point of the employee’s finger.

The experience at checkout was just as bad. The cashier immediately told her she wasn't eligible for their well-known buy 1, get one at 1/2 off continuous promotion giving a confusing explanation. To top it all off, nobody offered to help her with her bags as she struggled to leave the “able bodies only” store with her cane.

Rogan’s, changing the name isn’t enough. It's a complete joke that your store advertises "same great service" in the recent commercials about your name change. Your employees lack basic customer service skills and empathy. I wouldn't be writing this review on my mom's behalf; however, I have never had a good experience service-wise either in the handful of times I've been here. My mom will never return, and I would recommend others...

Stopped in to pick up a few pairs of shoes. Spent a little over an hour of my time trying on a variety of different shoes until I found a few pair I liked best. Upon register checkout the price for one of the pair of shoes rung up differently than what the sticker on the box said so I expected them to give me the benefit of the doubt since it rung up higher and I was buying a few pairs of shoes. They would not even work with me at all and demanded they would not negotiate even after I spent more then an hour of my time looking for shoes and was purchasing multiple pairs they wouldn't even work with me when they had marked the price incorrectly in the first place! Isn't the customer always right?! Whatever to that apparently at Rogans. Will never be returning and have updated multiple friends to never shop there again. Sleezy crooks that don't care to work with the customer even when the retailer is in the wrong and screwed up. Non of that for me! Needless today I was pissed off after spending part of my night in the store just to be shot down so I walked out of there with non of the shoes in had planned to purchase and will never return all because the store wouldn't even give me the price for what the shoes were marked at on the box. Not my fault and customer Sarasota action should be something! They lost my business and hopefully countless more! Stay clear....

This is my go-to shoe store! Not only is the selection top notch, but the buy one, get one half off is great! There are ALWAYS plenty of shoes marked down on the shelves too!

The shoes are top quality here too. If you are looking for a ten or fifteen dollar pair of shoes with no arch that will last you six months and make your feet, legs and back ache every day, just go to Wal-Mart. But if you want a quality pair of shoes that probably won't cost as much as you think, come to Rogans like I do.

When my son was about to take a 2 week long canoe and hiking trip to Colorado and needed a sturdy waterproof hiking boot, I took him to Rogans. Then I got the most adorable pair of Børn leather sandals for only $35!!!!!!! They had been $90 originally, were on sale for $70, but since they were our second pair, they were half price. What a steal. When my grandson comes to visit, that's where he gets his Jordan's. I think last year we got two excellent pairs for $105. Buying the sales and loving it!

I absolutely love this store! You don't even have to get the half priced shoes right away, you can save your receipt and come back. This store is #1 on my list for shoes, and everything related. Socks,...
