Walgreens’ corporate offices are negligent in allowing this pharmacy to operate at its current staffing level. Pharmacists are not entering new prescriptions in the computer system for hours (5 or 6 hrs) after the prescription is sent and then taking another 2 hours to fill. This delay can cause significant medical problems for adults and children with infections as well as a host of other conditions. I have had to verify with my physician and dental office 4 times in the last 3 months that my prescription was sent. Although each time the prescriber confirmed they had sent the prescription the pharmacy personnel reported they had not received the prescription. This happened again today. The prescribing office called me after they resent the prescription and called the pharmacy to verify they received it.I called 10 minutes later and was told they had not received the prescription. When I pressed the pharmacy clerk, she consulted the pharmacist and the prescription was located. Walgreens is making extra work for a busy medical practice and just plain lying to customers waiting for medications. If Walgreens cannot properly staff this pharmacy appropriately they should close this store. Read moreCustomer service at this store is poor in both retail and pharmacy areas. On recent visit, cashier Tracy, team member since 2010, was rude, snarky and passive-aggressive. Upon approaching the register, I noted she seemed to be on a personal phone call. As I greeted her to request a timely return with a reciept, pulling my items from the bag, she blurted, "You can't return that here. We don't sell it!" "Okay, " I replied, a bit jolted by her tone, " I didn't know." I turned and saw the brand name of this item displayed prominently on the upper wall in cosmetics and said, "Oh, okay. Looks like you advertise the brand, though. Thats a little confusing" "Well, if you dont believe me," she smirked, "you can go check!" "That won't be necessary, I said. "I believe you. I'm just surprised by your snarky comment. Not exactly necessary" Really, Tracy? Really, Wallgreens? Tracy is the best you've got? Read moreI’ve been using the Walgreens in Travelers Rest since we moved to the area in 2006, and the service has always been exceptional. The entire team consistently goes above and beyond to provide excellent customer care, handling every interaction with professionalism and kindness. I stop by at least twice a month to pick up prescriptions for my family, and there always seems to be some sort of hiccup with the insurance process. Despite that, the staff handles everything smoothly and graciously, never losing their patience. I especially want to recognize John and Laura, the pharmacists, who always go the extra mile—even when the situation is complicated.
