This is the only Plato's closet in Ohio I will give a 4 star review, and I have been to 5 of 7 of them (there used to be more but they went out of business, from ripping people off!).
At least at this one location I received an excellent, or at least "fair" offer, meaning like I didn't have to swallow some borderline offensive offer of pennies, and even got enough in credit to purchase the item I wanted in store!!! That's what you get when your buyers know how to treat other humans. Like pleasant, polite, not snooty...
It creates a win win for both the store and the seller. I come back, and you keep getting my fresh styles!
Coincidence that it was the employee from Pittsburgh? I think not! Promote her, promote her. One of the few women of color I've EVER seen working at these chain stores as well, which explains part of the problem with this failing retailer.
Declining diversity... both in their styles, and other even more important areas, like cultural literacy. Plato's is essentially a store of clothing curated by juniors, for juniors.
At least Reynoldsburg has some fire Carrhart, and a generally interesting men's selection that isnt super skimpy like virtually every other location. Well organized as well. It kind of shows when these stores put zero effort into their men's selection. Even saw a guy working here which is very rare...
Unfortunately, I have decided to stop patronizing this chain in Ohio entirely though, for listed reasons. I will occasionally visit the store in my hometown though because I have a zillion points built up.
NOTE: The points do not transfer between...
Read moreThis store seriously a joke I stayed in store waiting for my bin only to be told that they couldn't accept any of my items because they were waiting for their clearance to go down, but I overheard the girl who was going threw my things say " I don't even want to go threw this or buy anything because I sont feel like doing anything else tonight." Then I seen only 1/4 of my bin was even looked at and I know this because of how the clothes and shoes were placed in the bin . Definitely unacceptable I will definitely not be returning to buy or sell from this location again and I will be telling everyone else I know to steer clear from this location. I could see if my items were out of date or something but they were all from this year and last year some still with tags. And half the tote was shoes and boots brand new boots and shoes just over looked all name brand. I think this location needs new help with people that actually do their job and not just push it away because they don't want any extra work to do before the store closes. I got checked in at 7:33 with no other potential buys in front of me to go threw it. And then the manager was the one who checked me out and said that my items werent in season or from this year and she didn't even check behind the employee who said she didn't want to do it because I honestly believe she said well don't. The whole crew tonight was rushing threw trying to get all their things done so they could leave they were even talking about it's only 8:10 and I'm done with all my things and another employees says me...
Read moreDO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME! My fiance and I brought in three totes full of American Eagle, Aeropostale, Northface, Hollister and PINK clothing. Jeans, coats, hoodies, shirts, jackets, thermals, sweats, etc. All worn once, maybe twice. Some brand new, never worn. Some items purchased from their store. We were told it would about 45 minutes, and was told I would receive a text message when they had gone through everything. This was at 12:30. Around 4:30, after not hearing anything, I called and was told my things had been ready for a couple of hours. No one got in touch with me. When we went back, we were told that all of our items had been "passed". The young man had HORRIBLE customer service skills. His exact words were "They're being very picky. There's a lot of great items...but..ya know?" And proceeded to hand us one of our three totes, and walk away. We had to remind him of our other totes. The receipt on one of the totes said they were passed due to "Poor Condition and Out of Season." I don't understand how dozens of brand new clothing items can be of poor condition, and how hoodies, sweats, jeans and winter coats can be considered out season with winter approaching. If those items are out of season now, when exactly do they come into season? I will NEVER do business with them again! If I could have skipped past giving them a star at all,...
