Be careful before bringing your DEVICES!!
It was clear this kind of issue has happened before, especially since I was told “they won’t do anything.” So before taking your device to the Tukwila Best Buy, be aware that this is how you’ll likely be handled.
Manager: Took zero accountability and blamed the damage on my laptop being opened before I brought it in. The photos below clearly show the connector in perfect condition before it was brought in all I wanted was to replace the thermal pads with thermal putty.
Technician: Claimed the issue was just the visor and then the connector, but when I got the laptop back and inspected it myself, the damage was far worse than what he said.
Corporate escalation: Told me to take it to another shop for repair and send them the invoice, (soldering connector) even though the damage was beyond what I originally brought in.
Just to put it in perspective, you should never have to pay a shop to ever solder a connector back onto the motherboard. It being ripped off never happens. So if you want this 1 in 99 experience come here
Here’s what I found after getting it back: • Damaged visor cable • Damaged heat sink • Ripped connector off the motherboard • Fan assembly cover broken, off hard points • Stripped fastener • Misplaced VRAM pads (which are required without them the laptop shuts off)

Read moreI had an appointment scheduled for battery replacement at 1:00 for iphone. The geek squad made me wait for 45 mins and attended all other people before me. 45 mins later the guy comes in and says he cannot login to apple server and told me to come at 3:00.
After i reached at 3:00 they say that you would have to go to official apple store as we cant do replacement.
The geek squad in best buy is the official repair shop according to apple but has the worst technical representatives...
