K&G Fashion Superstore — Local services in Tukwila

I went with my fiance' & his best man today, while they were seeking suits, shirts & ties, to wear in our upcoming wedding on March 23rd. After several stores & hours spent searching without results, they consulted their close friend, Pastor Carl. He highly recommended K&G Fashion Superstore & was sure they would find everything they needed there, & for reasonably low prices. He was absolutely right!!! When my my fiance' & his best man were browsing through suit jackets, somewhat confusedly, Store Manager Lionel Davis approached, asked their specific needs, & directed them toward the complete suits. Although Mr Davis had his hot lunch in-hand, he turned his focus completely on fully assisting his customers, very respectably, knowledgeably, & professionally, by giving kind, helpful, & more than exemplary customer service throughout the entire process. Mr Davis sized each one of them up, resulting in perfectly accurate fits for each one of them, with the first suits they tried, including their shirt sizes, to wear with the suits. Because all of the suit pants are left unhemned, to ensure a properly tailored fit, Mr Davis had the on-site tailor record the precise alteration immediately, on their lists kept with each suit. If other alterations had been necessary, they would've all been marked, but in this case, no others applied. Mr Davis asked my fiance' if they needed ties, then provided them. The ties came with matching pocket handkerchiefs, which was a classy additional touch. Mr Davis took the extra time away from his lunch, without ever showing any sign of any thought of it, & went to the register with them to finalize the transaction. During the entire time he happily & willlfully offered his service, he adhered to our budget needs, yet provided high-quality merchandise, as well as guiding us through the process of obtaining all available additional discounts. The employees at the register were also outgoing & thoughtfully helpful. Everyone who works there exudes how much they enjoy their jobs. I had a very positive experience at this store. I was in need of a suit on short notice, and had no idea how to dress myself appropriately which led to me haphazardly picking out separate suit pieces of from different brands. It wasn't until a gentlemen at the register noticed, explained why it would be problematic if I were to continue with this purchase. They proceeded to walk me through the store, and picked out different brands and fits for me to try. After about 30 - 45 minutes, the end result was a significant improvement over what I had initially chosen.

This was in stark contrast to Men's Warehouse down the road where they simply handed me a suit to try, and walked away after gesturing the general direction of the fitting room. I had hoped for a bit more interaction given that I was only 1 of 2 customers currently in the store. After stepping out of the fitting room, and feeling like the suit didn't particularly fit me -I was left standing there while the attendants were all idly chatting as if I didn't exist. I stood there hoping for some feedback on what could be improved; however, when it became clear they weren't going to intervene, I lost all motivation to continue with the purchase, and left soon after.

I expected more from Men's Warehouse, but got much less for a higher price tag. I expected less from K&G Fashion, yet got so much more in value in both product and cost; I walked away with a slightly tailored jacket, shirt, and pant that worked well with my body type for less than $250. I will definitely make this a more permanent consideration for future clothing concerns if for no other reason than to support the business.

I came to look for blazers and suit jacket options. Lionel greeted me as I entered and directed me towards the suit jackets. He measured me out and suggested a few different brand names, Calvin Klein, joesph abboud. I told him that I was in the market for a nice suit jacket / blazer for multi use. He educated me on the different types for uses such as formal, informal, and casual. He talked about the different type of fabrics how it performs for different weather and longevity. Then we talked about colors for a timeless look. As I tried on several jackets I came to really liking two, it mentioned there was a sale going on with the jackets that comes with matching pants. I went for it as it was a great deal for the quality came out with blue & grey suit and sent me over to Tommy to get the suit tailored fit, since of the shelves doesn’t give you a perfect fit. The service was excellent, painless. Tommy tailor my jacket to remove the rolls on my shoulder and tailored my pants to fit better and with a half break. When all was finished I came out looking sharp, with two complete suits tailored , couple shirts and ties to add. I was excited and happy because I felt the experience overall was personalized, they really took care of me and gave great suggestions with backed knowledge. Thank you very much Lionel,...
