Columbia Sportswear Company Employee Store — Local services in Union City

I don't normally leave reviews, but this is an exception. I had not buy Columbia products for over 15 years and recently giving it a chance again. I'm giving rating exclusively for the staffs here that feel entitled (although not) to the point that they think it's okay to be rude to customers. Their staff tore up my pass "by accident", and the supervisor (Ariana) was extremely rude and took zero responsibility for it. I have never been treated this way before from a retail store, let alone being in a retail and customer service industry, one should have known how to do the job and how to interact and mitigate issues with a customer. This clearly was not the case. I do miss when Mountain Hardwear was not part of Columbia because it is in their company's DNA to treat customers with no respect. Inconvenient and Poorly Communicated Access

I was really disappointed to learn that the Colombia employee store in Union City, CA is only open to the public on specific dates. While I respect that they prioritize first responders and military members, it’s frustrating for regular paying customers who show up expecting access, only to be turned away.

There’s little to no clear communication about the limited public access — either online or at the location. It would be much more helpful if they posted public shopping dates clearly and updated their information to avoid confusion and wasted trips. As a customer, I expected better...

As stated this is an employee store, so you do need access to get in but the lady at the front was very nice and explained ways on how to get in. In which then I ended up coming in with AARP. So if you have AARP you can come inside. Giving it low rating because although I wanted to shop around and enjoy my first time visit I didn’t really. I had Jesse who’s a worker there follow me throughout the whole section of I believe was Mountain Hardware and as I kept trying to shop myself I could feel him hovering.
