My absolute worst experience at a restaurant, ever. I went in with one other person and we were unable to finish a single slice of pizza between the both of us, after trying several different types. The soda was flat. My first cup of tea was fine, but, and this was almost impressive seeing as how we were both already aware of how terrible everything there is, when I went to get a second cup of tea, it had just been refilled and was absolutely ruined. I was amazed by their sheer devotion to serving only the worst garbage possible. The tea was my tipping point. I went up and asked for a refund. This is something I have never done in my life and Cici's Pizza was the one that brought me to that point. Sadly, I was told they don't give refunds. They did offer me a coupon for some discount off my next visit. I refused that coupon because I will never be returning and I would hate myself if I ever sent one I actually like to that place, even with a discount. I walked out with a bad taste in my mouth. I was upset and hungery and I was robbed. This isn't even the end..
I called the chains customer support and eventually got through and explained the situation. I was told that the Eastgate location is owned by someone so the customer support can do nothing to help me, but they will pass on the information and I'll receive a call. I did receive that call a couple of days later. A guy calls me up and said he's with Cici's Pizza and heard I have a complaint. I tell him that I sure did. Then I explain my experience as read above. The adult man on the other line tells me he's the owner. He tells me the pizza is great and many people go there to eat. He also tells me that he guarantees he makes more money than I ever will and how rich he is... I couldn't even believe what was going on. It was almost comedic at the time. Almost. I wasn't laughing though. I was actually quite upset sinc I realized then there was no point in trying to get my money back. So I tell him he must not make that much money if he can't even refund me my $20( I'm not even how much it was now). I hung up on him after that and have been upset ever sense. I found out that day that the owner is just as bad...
Read moreOn January 18 at around 12:30 PM, I took my family to eat at this establishment. I could look past the soggy pizza, undercooked, because I think these children do their best that work here. the shriveled, yellow lettuce on the salad bar isn’t what I’m complaining about. I spend more money in the game room than I do on their food. My toddlers enjoy running around and playing the games in the game room. Typically the atmosphere in the game room is the overhead lights are off, and they have the neon lights from the game, lighting up the room. While we were playing, somebody turned on the overhead lights My toddlers asked for the lights back off. I saw a switch on the wall so I tried to turn the lights off and it turned all their games off their Manager a balding 30 something year-old man came to my table to yell at me for tampering with their games. There was no sign on the wall saying don’t touch the light switch . I tried to explain that I was just trying to turn the lights back off in the game room because that’s what my kids asked for, and I thought another kid turned them on but he wasn’t hearing it. He threatened to call the police on us and banned us from Cicis. I could understand if I was actually tampering with their games or trying to steal pizza off their buffet or something, but my kids and I were just playing games that we paid for. There was no warning like don’t touch the light switch, please He literally yelled at me in front of my kids and made my kids cry at the dinner table where we were paying customers. I understand he probably hates his job, but taking it out on me is not the way to go. I filed a complaint with corporate office and I will be contacting the Better Business Bureau as I was not given a refund, nor was, I allowed all the pizza that I could eat and my children from one of their past favorite places will now forever have this tainted memory of 30-year-old balding child...
Read moreFor $8 a person, at a restaurant that serves buffet style pizza. You get what you pay for. No it's not the greatest pizza, but it's not the worst either. I use to go all the time as a kid when there were more locations. When I saw the new one open up close to where I live, I got excited. Unfortunately when I went there, it was not anything like I remembered. Granted that might be because I was a kid and didn't know better of what was good and what wasn't, but still not what I remembered. The normal pepperoni pizza was cooked well, not too greasy. The stuff crust pizza though was very greasy, and there was almost no cheese in the crust itself. The fudge brownies were not good at all. After a few seconds of chewing it became an odd paste in my mouth. The Bavarian dessert pizza was also a really odd texture, and it did not taste very good either. The worst of the desserts had to be the cinnamon rolls. They were not cooked fully at all. Just a mouthful of raw dough. The location is also small from what I remembered from the previous locations. Narrow walk ways, not a large line of pizza to grab from, only one pop machine was an add choice, especially with how small it is. The small arcade was a nice touch, but not very needed in it for I only saw one kid go in to look at the games. The kid was the only one I saw go in there the entire time I was there. One good thing I will say though is there is plenty of big tables for parties to come and sit all together. All in all, the experience I had was not the best, but I am hoping that there will be some sort of redemption the next I go, if I choose...
