I’m beginning to wonder whether customer service skills even matter during the hiring process anymore—or if it’s just a matter of hiring friends, family, or whoever happens to be connected. I walked into a furniture store fully prepared to purchase a washer and dryer, only to be met with poor service and a complete lack of professionalism.
Not only were we not greeted, but the staff member remained seated roughly 15 feet away and showed zero interest in assisting us. This kind of disinterested, dismissive behavior is exactly why so many businesses are struggling—sales are lost not because of product or pricing, but because of how customers are treated.

Carpet dye had bleed through the bottom of the rug, many threads were unraveling, and there were a plethora of wrinkles that would not come out with warm water. I had to return it. The minute I walked in the door, the lady working the desk told me there were no returns. I looked at my receipt and sure enough it read "all sales final, no refunds." I told her no that I want my original chairs that came with it and she says that it could be weeks before I get them but she will be calling in to check every day. So I give it a week and call back and she doesn't even have my paperwork anymore. I'm still waiting for my chairs. Horrible experience I will never buy from this...
