Harry's Reserve — Local services in Washington

Terrible customer service, i can't remember the last time i was treated so rudely. I bought a keg from here recently. They had a great selection and Greg was very helpful in selecting the right beer for my tastes. I picked up the keg and tap and was all ready to kick off my party, when all of a sudden I realized the had given me the wrong type of tap. There are several different types of taps, depending on who makes the beer, and they had given me an incompatible European tap. With people already starting to show up to my party, I called them up, and they didn't have the right tap on hand, and called around to find another liquer store that did. 3 hours later, after I had to buy several cases of beer to keep my party going, they found a tap that i had to go pickup myself. While I appreciate their effort to find a tap, their mistake required me to buy 3 hrs of supplimental beer and was a huge inconvenience making me drive around while I was hosting people, putting a total damper on the day. When I asked for at least a partial refund, AJ was surprised and rude, and proceeded hang up on me. Hanging up on a customer that was (calmly and understandably) asking for a refund is beyond me. Is it to much to ask for them to provide the correct tap? I'm confused by this, but it clearly shows why you'll never see me buying from these...

I went to this store in hopes of finding convenience regardless of cost and was met with higher than normal. While there, I came into the store soon after rolling my ankle on the metro and sat down on a supply box. While my partner was picking out our selection to purchase, the staff walked by and engaged with me, without comment to my sitting on a supply box. While my partner was in line to purchase our liquor, a woman who exited the staffs office and she yelled at me for sitting on the box. I tried to explain that I was simply trying to rest while my ankle was twisted and she continued to yelled at me in front of the entire store, without any kind ask to stand up or leave. I tried to explain my friend was purchasing alcohol And I had injured myself and the woman, doing her make up at the time, continued to yell at me while insulting my friends appearance. Harry's is a wonderful neighborhood liquor store. The staff are always helpful. The store is very curated, with a widely varied range of liquor, wine, and beer. Harry's goes out of its way to offer a number of premium liquor products and fairly demands a premium price for such a wide selection. Wine selection is great and there is no shortage of hidden gems. The same goes for beer, which they sell cold from coolers.

The beer selection encompasses great products, domestic and international, craft and macro. The majority of beer is kept cold in enclosed coolers, though they also offer a constantly rotating selection of single cans from local breweries and those further afield. Harry's boasts a selection of great bottles in the very back of the shop.
