Garfield Park is a great little 2 court facility, but it's still needs a lot of TLC. The cracks on the courts at this point are are an absolute safety hazard. I'm pretty sure the courts were resurfaced two years ago and they need it again. We all would appreciate the courts being cleaned off more often as well. Now one of the net posts has rusted out and only one court is available at Garfield Park. The city needs to fix this immediately, they need to just replace the Net post. It's truly disappointing that this great little 2 court facility is maintained so poorly.kids

Top park in Capitol Hill! The grounds are well kempt and there is a lot of friendly community activity around the park! Tennis courts are lit up until 11 pm every night. Only downside is that the highway runs right along the park and can be noisy.

Be aware there is a homeless camp under the highway next to the park. I still felt safe during the day. All the locals seem very comfortable with it. Good selection of playground equipment.

Despite moderate management staff turnover over the years, the team always make residents feel at home and cared for. Currently, Nolan, Myra, Frank and Demean are extremely friendly, accommodating and responsive. The building is also super dog-friendly --this is may not be for everyone, but it is definitely a dog lover haven.

Being located right at the line between busy Clarendon and the residential area, the building offers the best of both worlds. It's also a few short blocks from Metro, Trader Joe's, Whole Foods, and tons of restaurants and retail stores, so you hardly need a car for your immediate needs. Georgetown and Pentagon City Mall are within minutes. I can even walk to Georgetown on a good day for exercise!

This is not your typical high rise with pool and all. It is more of a luxury garden building that truly feels like home. Not planning to move...

Nice neighborhood park. I play VB on the sand courts there. The sand depth is shallow, so it's easy to scrape a knee/wrist/elbow on the concrete underneath when going for a dive. Also, it'd be nice to have a better protection (tall net?) to prevent the ball from going into the trees/bushes, poor drainage puddles, or the highway (yes, I've seen a hit ball get redirected onto the highway... can't imagine what the drivers' thought!)

Update (03/26/23): Adding some lights for the sand volleyball courts would be nice, esp. since it is next to the tennis courts that...
