PLNT Burger — Restaurant in Washington

My plan was to grab lunch, go home and finish editing, but the love Chef GG put in this food changed EVERYTHING! What you see is what’s left…half of my bag barely made it out the restaurant. I truly needed this pick me up after a heavy month. Not only was ALL my food fest, but faster than a drive thru experience! Coming from a healthy girlie that is not big on burgers, you need to try this burger. If Chef GG’s on the grill? Get two! S/O to Dequan and Chef GG for giving me a 5 star PLNT Burger experience. I look forward to coming back for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

(pictured) Cheeseburger: 8/10 Like I said, I’m not big on burgers, but GGs made my burger with so much love. This is now the only processed burger I’ll eat! Mushroom Burger: 10/10 The flavor on this burger is unreal! A must try ESPECIALLY if you like BBQ. Herb Fries: 9/10 I’m not a big fan of thick fries, but these sure just changed that! Vanilla Milkshake: 10/10 Made me float minus the bloat! I love how I could enjoy this sweet treat without the added guilt

Edit 2 (1 star): It's been a couple years since my previous reviews, and my family has grown to like Plnt Burger quite well, especially after HipCityVeg shut down its Navy Yard location. Unfortunately, our most recent ordering experience was terrible (digital coupons and loyalty rewards were not accepted), and the company's customer service (using the email address feedback@plntburger.com) was completely unresponsive. I am changing my review to 1 star and don't envision going back until I get a response from the company. If they make things right, I will gladly raise my review to 5 stars to reflect how I otherwise feel about their food and service.

Edit 1 (3 stars): We had a coupon for a free cheeseburger so we decided to give it another shot. I really enjoyed my cheeseburger, enough to raise my original review from 2 stars to 3.

Original review (2 stars): I wanted to like this place. My wife and I love vegan junk food, and this is pretty close to where we live. I ordered the spicy "chicken" sandwich, which was so chewy as to be inedible, and the onion bloomies, which were dry, overbreaded, and overcooked. I’ve always enjoyed every visit I’ve had with PLNT Burger. Since the very first day they opened. Love the food, the people are very nice and pleasant. On this visit they have a new chocolate shake that I just could not take my eyes off of, so I ordered it along with my vegan angus steak burger… it did not disappoint and the only thing that made me upset was that I didn’t have a bigger cup of it. I hope they add that shake to the menu on a permanent bases.

They staff are always pleasant and professional with me at the Whole Foods near the Navy Yard in SE DC location. They had my order ready and warm even my shake was ready for me to go. It always good and always worth the money. I especially appreciate and enjoy their points reward system they have on their App.

Very easy to use, very detailed and fun to work with. Always up to date with they’re specials for the month.
