Harts - Convenience Store — Local services in Washington

I pulled up to the store to get gas and a couple of drinks. When I had pulled up to the pump and parked, I had received a call from my wife overseas. We talked for about 45 minutes.

I had planned to log into Uber and queue a passenger while I get gas when I was approached by an officer. The officer was polite and professional; however, the employees completely lacked professionalism and any sort of problem-solving skills. This was an extremely unnecessary interaction with law enforcement.

The employees made no attempt to communicate that they had an issue with me being there for nearly an hour. None of them approached me to inquire why I was there. They frivolously called the police for me to be confronted by an officer before I could patronize the store. Just so you know, it's extremely unbecoming of a store to call the police on a customer for not being in and out having bought their drinks and gas within the hour. I stopped at Harts Phillips 66 (260 S Green Spring Dr, Washington, UT) for gas, on the way to Salt Lake City. For whatever reason it wouldn't let me pay at the pump. The person at the register had me "pre-pay" even though I didn't know how much it would cost to fill up. She assured me the remaining balance would be credited back to my credit card. I kept the receipt, just in case. Just checked my credit card statement online, and the remaining balance was never credited back. Great way to cheat...

I love this store. They have pretty cool staff that engage in conversation with the customers. Their coffee is amazing. The only slight improvement I can think of is they need to keep all of their coffee varieties brewing for longer. What I mean by this is quite often when I go in they are missing/out of 2 or 3 kinds of fresh brewed coffee. But otherwise Hearts is an amazing place to make...
