Hartwalker Automation — Local services in Washington

We choose HartWalker Automation because they were the contractor chosen by the builder to pre-wire our home during the construction process. We had a pre-wire meeting and met with Steve Walker and Klint Hart of HartWalker Automation. This might be the right time to thank S&S Builders for using HartWalker because we have had nothing but great relations with HartWalker since.

We were able to set the ground work for future expansion of our initial system which includes several cameras, interaction with the alarm monitoring service, door locks, a/c control, lighting, surround sound, and other sound outputs etc. all monitored and controlled locally, remotely and securely via our cell phones and local devices ( tv remote looking thingies ). Pretty awesome stuff!

These guys are wizards at this stuff. They have been forthcoming when answering questions as to what can and cannot be done as well as coming up with solutions for the odd requests like dealing with unplanned device control.

Service. OK. We all want what we want, when we want it. Right? Well, we might not quite get all of that. We all need to realize that we are not HartWalker’s only customer. So with all of that said, we can say that there has been nothing that didn’t get addressed. In fact, HartWalker has met our needs in a timely fashion, cordiality and with professional expertise.

I hired Hartwalker to do some work on my new home. I wasn’t totally sure at first about whether a smart home was for me but Steve Hart did an amazing job of explaining the process and products when we met and he also spent a ton of time going over things and helping me plan out what was going to be the best use of my budget for my needs! The whole installation went so smoothly and Steve and his team were incredibly professional and friendly about answering any questions I had during that process. I don’t usually review but I’ve reached out to Hartwalker a couple times in the last few months for help with some troubleshooting with a couple minor things and Steve has been so quick to respond to questions when I needed - excellent customer support! Had Hartwalker install a home automation system (50K+) in our vacation home in St. George. Install seemed to go well, but started having problems immediately after. Issues have been constant (AV connectivity, security/locks, router/internet, etc) and other parts (lighting scenes) were never configured. We've also been dealing with a loud beep you can hear through the entire house about every 45-90 seconds (for the past 6 months). They did come out a couple times to try and fix things, but have now ghosted us for the last dozen+ contact attempts over the past several months. Beep still happening...there it goes again. Can't turn on theatre room, smart remotes disconnected. And the beep. Moving on...
