Scam Merchant Works Here Beware: Someone at this location sold my information to a scammer. I dropped a package off at this location. Within 24 hours I received communication that my package information was not legible and they needed me to provide new tracking information and then pay a re-delivery fee of $0.50. I did all of this and did not receive any updates (obviously my mistake for not calling immediately). Note, they only managed to scam because we actually had dropped a package at USPS, we did have to make a correction on the package because we accidentally wrote the delivery information incorrectly, and the message didn’t have any of the usual typos from a scam message. (For those uncertain, they referred to themselves as the USP Team not USPS team, and that should have been the flag for me.) After a couple of days with no updates I called the customer service line, they knew it was a scam and even knew it was called a re-delivery fee. They directed me to email a black void inbox with the experience. When I asked if we could lodge a specific complaint against the location suspected of selling the information they only redirected me back to this email. Don’t drop your packages here if you can help it, if you have to go there pay for delivery and keep an eye on your tracking number.

This post office needs to be investigated something is really going on there. The carrier are either stealing the mail or throwing it away. It does not help at all to speak to the station manager she does nothing Serita M Butler- Bush she is rude and dismissive. I have called time after time again no one never answers the phone. 2 bank cards never showed up. The station manager tells me it's my bank I need to call them because nothing was taken from the account how she knows that I never told her that. Now my passport was scanned on the 14th to be delivered that day I receive a no access notice delivery next day nope the next day nope. Three days later nothing I wake up at 5 30am check the status in my informed delivery it says it was delivered 801 pm went to my mailbox at 555 no passport. At this point I'm going over heads.

I stopped by to drop off a prepaid package. The post office had three service reps and a manager on a Saturday! The manager was available to answer any questions people waiting in line might have which was super helpful. The line went pretty quickly and everyone was very friendly. My package arrived at its destination on time.

AVOID AT ALL COST IF YOU CARE ABOUT YOUR MONEY A package of mine recently went "missing". The tracking number said they tried to deliver it my location twice. The carrier never bothered to leave a slip either time, probably because he knew it was an expensive item. So on the third attempt magically someone in my empty house opened the door signed my name (spelling my name completely wrong) and the package just disappeared. Give me a break. They should be ashamed of themselves taking expensive money from people who are just barely getting by it is absolutely disgusting. If you have this issue that I did don't bother calling the number here because it will go straight to dial tone. I tried calling in a four times in a three hour window and it went straight to dial tone each time. THREE HOURS! That is insane. I am not sure if anyone will actually read this but if you do I implore you to use a different service or a different location if you care about your items and you work hard for your money like I do....

HANDS DOWN THE BEST POST OFFICE IN DC!! I live in the uptown NW DC (near Brightwood Post Office) and I will travel to this SW DC location for excellent customer service. They ALWAYS answer the phone. There is almost always a line but once you reach the window you are greeted with respect unlike the other post offices in DC I have visited & helped without an attitude. A lot of the postal workers assume that you took the Post Office 101 course they took. My time is valuable like everyone else and I don't mind the wait because they are making sure your package(s), passports, etc is being taken care of. Parking is limited due to an extremely small parking lot and it being across the street from the inspection station but you can park on the street and walk up. The female postal workers show their multiple tattoos, piercings & hair is bright blue, green, gold and they dress like they are working in a cheap retail clothing store or a tattoo parlor as oppose to the federal government. Overall: WONDERFUL...
