I have consistently had problems with this location's print services for literally YEARS. So much so I've considered offering to manage the department myself for 6 months just to get them properly trained.
Today I spent over 3 hours in the store waiting for 16 pages to be printed. Well technically it was supposed to be 30 pages, but they forgot to print 2 copies of each like I asked for (and specified in print directly in my email) and 2 pages were to be laminated. And I will say i also spent 2 hours at home prior to all this messing with their online service trying to do it myself, but couldn't get it to work. So it wasn't for lack of trying that I ended up desperately trying to use their in-store service.
The first set of prints came out after about an hour and a half. They had lines on them. The second set...lines. Third set...no lines, but everything was sized slightly too small. Final print...3 hours later...I only got one copy of each, when I needed 2. The laminated page came back full of bubbles (this has happened every lamination I've attempted at this location, so I don't know why I keep trying and thinking it will be fixed..I've read it's from running the paper through the machine too fast) so I had to have them reprint the laminates too.
While all this was happening, I watched this same employee who was working on my project, stop several times to help others who also had big print projects, not a simple fax or one page print. I can't for the life of me figure out why you would devote 3 hours of man power, make me wait in store (a different female employee said "I had to wait in store for the prints" and couldn't go home and wait) and frustrate a customer all for what totalled to be a whopping $16 in business?! It seems like someone could have sat down and printed 30 pages (nothing crazy, just prints, y'all..) and gotten me out of the way a lot faster and saved the company a lot of money, and me a lot of time.
I was very patient and polite to the poor kid who was helping me. I didn't Karen out in the store like I wanted to. But what I will be doing is buying a laser printer (which I had plenty of time to price while I waited today) and literally never, ever, use this store's print service again. I usually don't leave reviews this in depth but after years of frustration with this location...
Read moreIf I could post a zero or negative. I would do it without hesitation. I visited your store#691 in Waxahachie Texas. The intent was to purchase a power supply for my Dell laptop. There was one opened box available. I checked out the contents. And although there was no paper with index listing the contents to verify. What I believe to be the main to items were inside. I asked the store manager Anna, was there any discount for opened items on the floor. She immediately said no without consideration. What bothered me the most. She insulted me by referencing. If she allowed for a discount. All customers would be asking for money off items. As if to say. I am among the customers she referred. She also made reference to the plastic tab peeling back on the box by itself. As oppose to a customer opening it. This is her store inventory. She could have easily pulled the box and place adhesive back on box. I am a paying customer and normally there is paperwork inside. That provides list of contents. What she indirectly accused me of is stealing. I bet you want get my hard earn money anymore. I would have felt more at ease and less insulted. if she, had said. It was not our intent to have an opened box on the shelf sir. If you find there is something because we dont have another box to compare. We will provide exchange or refund. As oppose to Ok the box has been open. As far we know you could have opened the box. And we dont care if you come back or nor cause you want is a discount. Now do you...
Read moreOrdered a book of mailing labels on 07/14/14 at store 691 and was told they would call me when it was ready to pick up. Delivery date via tracking was expected to be 7/25/14. Came into the store on 07/26/14 and the store did not have my labels. Came in two weeks later and they still did not have my labels. It is now September two months later, after checking the tracking, it showed the store signed for delivery on 07/18/14, literally four days after I ordered them, so why did I not get a call before they lost my order?. I got no call, no labels, and I decided to use the live chat agent feature to fix the problem. I asked for either a refund or a reorder, the agent was great, and told me that someone would call me the next morning to help me. Got a call, it was an Indian woman that sounded like she was driving, I could not understand her, and had to ask her multiple times to repeat/speak louder. She finally gave up and asked for my email, I had to repeat it twice and spell it four times for her. Why is an American company outsourcing it's phone support to people with subpar english speaking ability? Do they not care about customers anymore? Also, do the employees not have proper training such that they lose something that is clearly labeled with a name/address? Will never use Office Depot again. I would rather smash my pinky toe with a brick over and over than give this store my...
