This is By- Far, the most horrible experience I've ever had at a restaurant. I am a U.S. Navy veteran who visited this location yesterday to get food for myself and my spouse. In that order, I ordered a to go margarita. The young lady at the window was going back and forth with a man about the carna asada tacos that I'd ordered not being the meat that was put in the taco. She ultimately stated " oh, well, im not the one that has to eat it." She then asked for my ID, which I showed her. She stated that she needed to swipe it and closed the window. After a minute or 2 she gave it back to me along with my receipt and said that my order would be right out. A minute later a man who said that his name was Trey ( although the receipt identified him as "Omar") came to the window laughing and smiling as he looked back talking to the staff. He identified himself as the shift manager. He proceeded to laugh as he propped himself up in the drivetheough window as he began to demand that I prove to him that I am a woman. Even after I verbally verified that the ID was indeed mine & also offered to show additional identification, he continued to giggle as he proceeded to press the issue. I asked him to please be professional and please give me my order or a refund, he still continues; threatening to call his cousin, whom he said is a K9 police officer, unless I proved to him that I am a female. After a good 5+ minutes of harrassment, he finally gave me a refund and I left.

Read moreI like taco cabana, but the one in Waxahachie, TX is horrible. Used to have great food and excellent service, but food has been really bad and service is worse. Went this evening and ordered food inside the restaurant to go. Was told that they were cooking the rice while I was ording, I said will skip the rice just give me everything else. I was offered a free drink as compensation. After 15 minutes of waiting for food to come out, a worker came out to the dining area and announced that they were out of chicken and steak and more was being cooked and would be another 10 minutes of waiting. I'm thinking ok, they are having a bad day, but after an additional 20 minutes of waiting still no food. I watched 3 other parties not recieve there food and leave. They did offer everyone waiting free chips and queso. Then I watched a guy come in, order, and recieve his food. I'm still waiting, workers are passing by me, no one asking why I was still waiting? Finally went to the counter and asked about my food, was told that they were looking for me and could not find me, with the exception of going to the restroom, I was sitting there the whole time with my number displayed on the table. Then was told they lost everyone's order. Then a worker found some of my order just sitting on the counter. I requested a refund and that took foreve just to get my money back. Read moreI was there today for the first time since moving to Waxahachie from Arlington and I am very disappointed in the service. It was on 2-18-2020 at 2:26 PM employee : 427064. I ordered the taco plate with an extra taco and a Shiner Bock which was flat and not cold at all! After watching two couples get their food after me who were behind me in line I finally asked the guy making food and he had no record of an order he says, so I had to wait longer for the food and the beans and rice looked awful and was not even hot and not near as hot and fresh as other Taco Cabana's. He had to add the extra taco because the guy who took my order did not add it on the ticket. When I started to talk to the guy cooking all of a sudden some guy comes out of the back and want's to know the problem is, well, here it is, all kinds of problems, failure to turn my order in, failure to get the order right, Shiner Bock is warm and flat, need I say more? Total fail all the way around, too bad there is not a customer survey on the receipt or I would do that one. This is the worst experience I have ever had with a Taco Cabana. they are usually very consistent with their products and services, not this one. Thanks for nothing!
