We went in yesterday and it was our second time being in the store. The first time we just went looking for a baseball bat and we were in and out right away. We went in and decided to walk the entire store. We went looking for an Igloo cooler backpack. My husband didn't find one he liked but he did like a small cooler that Igloo had so he did get that. Our boys saw the rock-climbing wall and wanted to do it. In the end only one of them wanted to do it. Our son was so happy and ready to go but he had to wait because a little boy was already doing it. When it was his turn, he was ready and started going up. He had never done it, so he was figuring it out as he went. He got a good way up and then freaked out. He looked down and yelled "I'm scared, get me down". The girl was trying to explain to him to let go and she would bring him down, but he wasn't listening. He was so scared and just yelling. She kept trying to assure him that he wouldn't not fall because he was attached to the rope on her end. My husband and I tried to calm him down, but he was not having it. It took him a while, but he finally came down by climbing down. The employee kept assuring him he was okay and was encouraging him to try again but he told her 'I don't want to; I'm never coming back here again". She was so patient and kept telling him to not give up and try again. She even told him that maybe the next time we came back he could try and who knows maybe he would climb mountains one day. She was young yet so good with our son. I loved how she didn't get frustrated or just give up on him. It really meant the world to me. My son is autistic, but I didn't mention that to her because I don't ever want people to see him any different. My son is very smart, and his only sensory issue is loud noises. As an autistic mother I was happy and proud of my son and happy with the employee's sweet and caring gestures. I really wish I would have gotten her name, but she went in to take the shoes back and never came back. I hope she gets recognition for what she did because it may not seem like anything big, but...
Read moreExtremely rude girl in the front checkout VIKTORIA. Originally VIKTORIA checked me out and messed up prices. So I went back in to get a price adjustment and whilst doing so they said I owed them money when they should have owed me. So I said it was fine and wanted to return everything and they could just do the price adjustments then so we that way I knew everything was done right. The girl VIKTORIA who originally checked me out walked over to the new girl was helping me and proceeded to tell me that it made no sense to return everything while she scrunched her face like it was such an issue . I asked if they had a manager because by this time I had been standing there longer than I should have and I just wanted it done right because they didn’t know how. VIKTORIA had said something I couldnt make out all with a look of attitude on her face then said “I mean I can call him” while rolling her eyes. so they called one up to the front all while she was on her head set mumbling stuff under her breath about how she doesn’t even know why I wanted a manager . THEN asked me to pick something up I knocked over. I told her no because I absolutely did not knock it over and I actually TRIPPED on it. she asked me again to hand it to her once u had already said no. But I did end up handing it to her anyway because I was completely over the attitude. The only good part about this experience was that a manager, Anthony, gave me two coupons instead of the one I originally had. So thank you to that. But y’all really need to get people who want to help customers instead of be...
Read more10/06/2020 Horrible customer service from the manager “Bre “, when in to look at cornhole boards for a gift. Saw there was a deal on the shelf so I decided to purchase it. By the time, I got to the register the item rung up to be $149.99 in which on the shelf said different $59.99?!? “Tre” the cashier apologize for the error and was respectfully trying to helping me get that$59.99 price due to it was that department fault for wrong price. Until his manager “ Bre” rudely denied to get me that price for their inconvenience and only had to offer 15% off which came out to $120.99 while rolling her eyes at me. I confronted her and said don’t roll her eyes at me and she was telling me she wasn’t but clearly she was in front of me!!! I denied to accept that 15% offer because that doesn’t do justice for the fact it was not my fault about the price error. I walked out of that store and contacted Corporate customer service about my incident that my experience was unexceptionable!! Josh the representative apologized for my experience and only gave me 753 points for my experience which doesn’t do justice for the fact that I wanted those cornholes boards for the $59.99 price. All I can say, this place deserves no stars.” Tre” the cashier was respectful and helpful during my experience, I’m just sorry he has to deal with a rudely manager “Bre”!!
**Later that day, I actually went in to Academy and found a better design of Cornhole boards for $75.99 and yes I did purchase these from Academy with excellent...
