I hope the owner gets to see this. I 've been a customer for a decade now. Both my mother in law and sister in law recommended this store. I never never had any problem. The stuff were always friendly, happy to help. Today, oh my GOD I was treated like an animal. My daughter calls the store ABC store, because I used to bring her and let her play with the toys in the back. We started going since she was 8 month-old. Now she is almost 5 years old. That's how you know that the store was our happy place. The prices are reasonable, clean place, friendly employees...I never had a problem. 1- We entered the store today and no one said welcome, which is fine. 2- I asked nicely if they were selling lollipops. I promised my daughter that lollipop since she was very ill yesterday. The female employee "Ashley" said no, but the other male employee said we have ringpop or whatever they call it. Ashley said you have to spend at least $3 to get this. I said I am not going anywhere. I knew my daughter wouldn't stop asking for it, but I bit my tongue and I told my daughter rules are rules. Miss Ashley didn't like what I've said and slammed the bucket full of candy on the counter and start talking to herself. I was uncomfortable! I explained to my daughter that the store is not ours and we just have to go with the rules. 3- when I paid she asked me if I needed the candy and I said no. I don't know what had happened to me I just forgot and I just wanted to pay and leave. I asked her I'm sorry I will buy the candy. It was my fault she asked and I said no 100 % my fault here, But why did she make it like it was a big deal. We were just 3 customers in the store. It wasn't busy. My heart is beating just by talking about it. At the end I went to the male employee I asked him that I wanted to talk to the manager. He said he is the manager off duty and Ashley interrupted us and said I'm the manager on duty. I said really! You ARE the manager? That's how you treat your customers. She replied: Why? All that because you didn't get your lollipop𤤠and had a fake smile!I really felt humiliated. She was very very rude. I told her it's not about the candy it's about the way you were acting from when I entered the store to my exit. I also said I hope you enjoy your $8 on this hour because you really don't deserve it. I left and heart laughs. My husband asked me to not go back there, I told him why? Someone needs to talk to her. I'm glad the owner is here reading this. I don't know but I could go to another Once Upon a Child in the area and the owner is my husband's cousin I could get all the discounts I wanted. But I never did! You know why? Because I'm a loyal customer. I 've been buying from your store for over 5 years now and my other daughter is 8 months. Today I felt less than a customer. Please talk to this employee who said her name was Ashley. I got the receipt if you want to see who was this Ashley. Thank you and I'm sorry for my 1 star today. It's funny how you were a 5 star for 5 years and it took one person to ruin that.have...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWow, the negative reviews are overwhelming. I will agree with most of the reviews about their mediocre staff. Most of them are young kids & it shows. I came tonight at about 8:00 so there were not many people in the store so itās not like they were super busy checking people out or whatever. When I walked in, they were just talking amongst themselves and couldnāt be bothered to even acknowledge me or give a warm welcome so it was a bit awkward walking in and going past staff who just act as if you arenāt there. I miss when people were polite enough to at least say hello or ādo you need help finding anythingā. Secondly, at least for their toddler boyās section, there arenāt many selections at all. Barely any bottoms and too many cheesy, graphic tees. And for some reason, they have more winter stuff out than summer, our current season. Every time I go, sizes are also in the wrong spot. Iāve worked in retail & It should be a task at the end of the night to at least quickly go thru and make sure everything is organized & in the right spot. Next, most of the shoe bins didnāt have sizes on them?? So frustrating. Iāve been to several locations & they all have sizes on the bins. I guess youāre just supposed to waste your time checking every single box for your kidās size. Itās not that hard to organize and label bins. I think staff if just lazy or management is horrible and has no standards. They should stay late or come in early and organize the whole store. I will say I love their baby girl section & usually am happy when I have purchased for my daughter. I donāt think Iāll be going to this location anymore though. I rather take the drive to pearland, their store is further but more organized and a lot...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIāve attempted to go to this store several times since Iāve moved to the friendwood area. I used to go to the OUC in Pearland. I was amazed at the Pearland site it was color coded, always organized, each section of the store was nicely labeled. They always accepted my clothes and were very upfront and honest as to why they didnāt accept my clothes. As for the BAYBROOK location itās ALWAYS unorganized and a mess.Iāve been mischarged 2 times since going here and told they needed a manger to override the system and return my money and after waiting almost 20 mins each time I told them to keep the extra money. As well as everytime I asked my reward points to be added they were not . My clothes I wanted to sell were turned away during the summer ( I was selling summer clothes) because they had ātoo muchā summer clothes. As I went to Check each section of the boy clothEs I was selling each rack was full of LONG sleeve shirts and pants! Keep in mind this happened in JULY! I noticed in the 2T boy section there was a girl shirt in there a week later I went back to OUC to look for a polo for my son and still noticed the SAME girl shirt. ( donāt worry I put it back for them this timeāŗļø) today was the final straw. I called to ask them what clothes were they accepting and I was told winter clothes only. I walked in the store with my clothes waited about 10 mins for anyone to even greet me then I was checked in. 5 mins later I returned to ask a question and the worker there told me they could not accept my clothes due to them not accepting winter boys and girls clothes size 2T-5t. I was livid at this point. NEVER will I ever return. 10/10 do recommend to skip the trip to this store and save the headache they...
