I purchased a Shun knife set from William Sonoma online and wanted to add on to it. I decided to go directly to the Westport CT store and hopefully get more info from a representative......NOT TRUE After wandering around the small store for 20 minutes and getting ignored I asked a rep for assistance she told me she just cooks and really did try to assist but asked the male manager to assist us. I guess he was too busy talking into his microphone that he couldn’t help us, we gave it another 10 minutes but couldn’t handle the lack of customer service we left. I am now online ordering online. Completely rude staff. The one-star reviews are accurate for Westport’s Williams Sonoma (WS) location, as most of the reviewers comment on the rude, cold nature of the workers. No acknowledgment by staff whatsoever while shopping on 2/8/25. A male worker pushing a cart nearly ran into us, and he didn’t even utter a “Sorry,” “Excuse me,” and/or “Pardon me.” There’s a reason why people often shop online; they want to avoid inconvenience, rude workers, and uncomfortable situations.
