So I got my hair done today and I was insanely concerned because I had a lot of of breakage. It's been about eight months since I've gotten my hair done, so I was kind of putting my faith in this stylist (Olivia) to not mess my hair up She suggested no color for the time, love that, because I also knew my hair wasn't ready for that . We decided to Just touch up my roots and do a conditioning treatment. 😭😭My roots about seven shades darker than my previous color, if not more....Looks like a line around where my roots are and the rest of my hair color and I paid for a pull through whatever that is. .I Absolutely Horrified.. when she dried my hair, she only dried it halfway it was still very damp she didn't even style it, I guess i'll blow out till you're dry and a bit of a style only comes with a haircut I guess. I'm so disappointed I was nervous to get my hair done again... This is exactly why.... I've been crying all day.. and today is my birthday.... I wish there was more transparency blend. She made it sound like my hair would blend and she would match my roots to my color, I'm is so embarrassed by my hair.. it will be up in a bun for the foreseeable future.... I ask for an experienced hairstylist with expertise in color when I called because my hair was do damaged.. clearly booked me with the very first availability. Regardless of experience... This was a fail on so many aspects....🥺

Also, never write bad reviews ever.. best for everybody but this was insane I have a job she did literally every single person. I know that something to me about how bad my hair is right now and how I need to go back and I shouldn't of paid...

It's about time I write a loud, loving review for Dagny Stark. I have been seeing her for almost a year and a half now. Since October 2017, Dagny has exceeded my variety of hair cut, color, and style requests (see photos!), and performed what I can only call makeup ART for me on several occasions, one of which being my wedding day. I have never left that chair without a huge smile on my face, feeling listened to, cared for, and THRILLED with the way I look. It's very obvious that Dagny is a level 3 Redken Certified Color Specialist through her work, and more impressively, through her intuitive care for her clients. She spends her time really listening to me, and it shows. She seems to know what the person she is taking care of wants within very few words; oftentimes, I don't quite know how to explain my hopes for my hair or makeup, yet she asks just the right questions and explains everything in ways that assure me I'm going to get what I want. She works efficiently yet thoroughly, something that I can't say about the many professionals I've visited before finding Dagny: usually, speed compromises quality or the vice versa. Such is not the case with the level of expertise Dagny exudes. Although Dagny offers to re-do color treatments to hair if a client isn't satisfied within a certain time frame (an extremely humble and the utmost perfessional offer), I'm not sure I'll ever be able to take Dagny up on that service -- I am endlessly satisfied. I have developed a loving relationship with my hair thanks to the way Dagny helps me take care of it in and out of the salon, and I will continue to send anyone...

Dangy is absolutely amazing! I live in Chicago now and still come back to get my hair done by her - that's how good she is. She is a color expert! Especially in balayage and anything platinum. I've been coming to her for a year now, and my hair has never been healthier or more beautiful. She has been able to keep me as blonde as possible with minimal maintenance since I can't come in as often as I'd like. Her blending is incredible, I get so many comments about how natural my hair looks. She also foils faster and better than anyone I've ever seen. Not only is Dagny great at the technical part of coloring, but she's also really good at teaching you how to care for your hair and make the most of your color. She's also very personable and a great person to spend an afternoon with. She really cares about her clients and goes out of her way to provide the best possible service. I really can't recommend her enough!

The salon itself has an upbeat but relaxed atmosphere and everyone who works there is really nice. They always seem to have some sort of deal going on products too! One note - they only accept visa or mastercard so be prepared for that. I've never had anything less than a great experience here, you won't be...
