Dairy Delite — Restaurant in Wildwood Crest

Health department needs to assess staff behavior at this seemingly cute and friendly family-owned ice cream shop. We stopped in for soft serve. The owner witnessed one of the teenage staff sniffling and touching her nose countless times between taking our order, touching our money, and handling our (non-paper covered) ice-cream cone, which then passed between the hands of three other staff members. The staff member was subsequently sneezing, sniffling, and coughing on all of the surfaces she was cleaning! Also, the chocolate-covered coating, which seemed to confuse the staff, was thin, burned, and underwhelming. We didn’t eat the cone for obvious sanitation reasons (maybe they could just buy the ones with paper covering and not have the cashier handle the food products ?!?!?!). Overall great place to drop in and get a scoop. The ice cream took me back to when I was a kid and peanut butter ice cream was jammed with peanut butter, not like most ice cream now that seems to have the good stuff becoming less noticeable. This is definitely an ice cream place stuck in time, but that gives it a unique charm. Would recommend if looking for a treat in the area, they have a wide variety from hard, soft serve and prepackaged bars. Something...

Wish I would've taken photos for reference! Showed up to the shoppe as they were closing. Several workers already left for the night, and those that remained (owner?) happily served us anyway! My wife got a vanilla malt milkshake that she loved. My daughter got a standard soft twist with chocolate sprinkles, which she orders everywhere! I got the peanut butter blast sundae. Everything was SO GOOD!
