I was driving through winder and passed a Shaved Ice place and thought man ice cream sure does sound good right now in this 100 degree heat..I stopped but the place didn't look appealing at all..So I googled "Ice Cream shop in Winder" not expecting any results of course. Sure enough,this place popped up and better yet it was only 1 minutes away from where I was! I couldnt believe it! Now let me tell you..I was greeted immediately upon walking in by the very sweet owner..She told me everything about the menu and what they had. I got a double scoop vanilla in Waffle Bowl..Let me just tell you!!!!The best Ice Cream I have ever had...Simply, simply amazing. To make things even better,she then told me how it is all homemade..The Waffle bowl and all..Everything is made in house fresh..If you are in Winder and craving Ice Cream,I highly highly advise you to stop here and eat their Ice Cream. What a find! Right on the corner next to the Winder Friends Cafe. They make all their ice cream and waffles on site. When we visited, we saw they had the tried and true flavors, but they also had unique and seasonal ice creams. For instance, for fall, they had apple toffee, butter rum, pumpkin spice, and others. We all sampled many of them before selecting our desserts.

I settled on the apple toffee in a waffle bowl with caramel topping. Others in my group had a mocha sundae and a straight-up dish of coffee ice cream. The coffee ice cream was claimed to be the best we'd ever taste. That claim was correct, and a pint of it came home with me.
