BurgerFi — Restaurant in Winter Park

My family and I have eaten here for years usually twice a month. Tonight we went and got the same order we usually get, spending $75 for 3 burgers and some fries. My daughter got the fries with the truffle sauce on them. This time they came out with very little sauce on them so she requested more sauce. In the past we’d get an extra side of the sauce no problem since they only put it on top of the fries, and the family size usually requires a little more. Tonight my daughter was told NO, and was told she’d have to pay for it. However, we already paid for it, and they didn’t do it right so out of principle I went to the counter and inquired further. I told the individual at the counter that we get the same thing every time we come, and this time it wasn’t right. Regardless, the gentleman named “Jay” who apparently is “one of the managers” told me we had to pay for the side of truffle sauce despite the fact it was supposed to be on the fries we already paid for. I asked for the manager when Jay said he was it. Then I asked him if he was serious, and if he is willing to lose a regular customer for the 80 cents he insisted on. Out of principal I walked away and decided to right this review to let others know to avoid this place as you have more and better choices. This place has gone way downhill over the years. The drinks/ketchup bar area is always a disgusting, and last time had ants crawling all over while the employees chatted behind the counter doing nothing. BurgerFi is a chain and they should really inspect the service, quality of food, and definitely the cleanliness at this location. We won’t be back, EVER. My son does not live near me and he raves about BurgerFi and whenever we speak about good burgers, he always tells me how he loves BurgerFi and that I have to try it. There isn’t one where I lives so the other day we were in Winter Park and found one. The first impressions was very good, the place was clean and we were met with friendly staff. We both ordered hamburgers with fries and unsweet tea. I now knew what my son was raving about. Everything was perfect!

Update: I went to this location last year and loved everything about it. The place was clean, attentive employees and good food. This time, Feb/2025, it looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in a month. There were massive smudges on the doors and window glass, entering it just looked dirty. It appeared they were short staffed as the person taking the orders was also the one delivering food to tables. Ordering was fine and the time it took to get our food was acceptable. I noticed that the top bun did not have the “Burger Fi” branded on it like last time, it was a nice touch before. The fries were mediocre.
