Malley's Chocolates — Local services in Woodmere

I normally do not post reviews but this one I must. However, I started to go to the Wilson Mills location because I just knew the experience would be different. But no I stoped in the Beachwood location and was not greeted at all and when I checked out the cashier just looked at me like a damn deer in headlights and didn’t say a damn thing until I said “I’m good how are you” then he said I’m good with a crazy look on his face. However, I won’t be back I will just frequent another Malleys because him and the other workers that were behind the counter never acknowledged me or the lady in there trying to shop she just walked out without purchasing anything I should of done the same. Poorest customer service I have seen, stores need to realize without the consumers no one gets a paycheck. Buddy behind the counter today needs to be taught...

I shopped at the Malley's in Mentor 2 days ago, and love the Bordeaux that I wanted to pick up a couple more boxes before I head home. I was surprised by how nice the store is comparing to the Mentor location which also has an ice cream shop. At this Chagrin location, I found some items that I didn't see at the Mentor location. This location has all the chocolate bars in all sizes and popcorn. The older lady who helped me greeted me the second I walked in and offered me some samples. At checkout, she asked if I needed extra bags, if any of what I purchased are gifts. She gave me 2 smaller bags that I needed for the 2 executive administrators at work. She was so helpful and friendly. Very different than the Mentor location. I would come back here again if I visit the...

I came into the store with my child and the older white lady who was cashing me out started to speak about my child and how pretty she was, it was fine until she used the word Eskimo to describe my child. Eskimo is a very derogatory, EXTREMELY OFFENSIVE to use and the fact that this white lady used it to “praise” my child beauty is disgusting, I pretended not to hear it because What could I do when I had my child? but it did not sit well to me. Using the work Eskimo is extremely RACIST! There are no excuses to be still using these term in a place of business OR ANYWHERE. The fact that a White lady used this term to describe my child speaks volumes on the people who run this “business.”
