I came here earlier today around 7 o’clock with my boyfriend to shop for an outfit for a concert. As I found a top I really liked I had my boyfriend ask a worker to open a fitting room for me. When she opened the room she politely let both me and my boyfriend know a rule of only allowing one person in the fitting room due to other “incidents.” We both verbally let her know we had no issue with that and he sat on a chair near the changing room. He noticed that a lady worker was pointing at him and was talking to another worker. They then made there way to him. I called my boyfriend over to look at how the top fit and asked him to zip it up but we were outside the fitting room still to make sure to adhere to the rules given to us and two workers the ones pointing and making there way earlier came up to us and proceeded to lecture us as if we were breaking the rules given to us. One of the workers claims she saw him go into the room when he did not. I find this very disrespectful. They continued to lurk around, watching us and were quick to grab the clothes out of my hand as I left the room. I wasn’t even able to get a second thought of whether I was going to buy the top which I was going to until she took them out...
Read moreWhile I've shopped at Dillard's for years, I'm still baffled by the inconsistency in the levels of customer service-sometimes within the same store. The merchandise ranges from affordable store brands to more expensive names. It's nice to have options. But, if you need assistance, you might be out of luck. Today I was warmly greeted by a friendly passing cosmetics clerk when I arrived. The Home Department clerk was busy. But, she greeted me warmly and said to let her know if she could help. Then, I struggled to find a certain size in the men's department. I finally gave up. As I turned to go I saw two male clerks talking and looking right at me. Neither of them had come to help, neither said anything to me as I passed them. I went to the website and placed an order. If those two work on commission, they lost out. If their store manager reads this, they may be out more than that. Dillard's used to be about service. Some of the clerks get this, some...
Read moreWalked in on the west side of the store. No one at the make-up or perfume counters said anything to us. The first person to even acknowledge us was the amazing lady at the watch counter who talked to us. She was so sweet. My husband needed a dress shirt for a wedding and our friend needed a shirt and jacket. I believe the man who helped them was James. He was awesome. My husband really liked him. I needed a backless strapless bra, so I went to the lingerie department. I was helped by Chavelley, let me tell you, she is an absolute gem. So personable and so kind. She made me feel comfortable and welcome. Every other time I go in there, we might have one to two people ask us if we need help, most of the employees ignore you. Next time I need anything, I'm going to her. I've mentioned her and her kindness to all the women I know. I hope she gets the recognition she deserves for being such an amazing person. The only reason I've rated 5 stars is for James...
