Felt compelled to write this review as we returned from the restaurant this evening. Sunday evening- not a busy time for this restaurant at all. Food ok, average at best for these prices- I think you could do a lot better elsewhere in Palermo soho for the same rates.
What I really wanted to mention was the service!!! Shocking- took us ages to get served or even acknowledged. Waiter on the roof top patio felt it much more important to clear glasses off tables when there were many free as it was hardly busy. Used to questionable service in Argentina- this stands out as awful.
What made me write this review was that we dropped a large amount of money on a meal and the treatment we go after the meal ended. There was a huge lightening storm outside (with monsoon rain and forks of lightening ahead) which saw us move inside thankfully at the end of our meal.
Most importantly Sans- you need to fire one of your waitresses (the small one with straight hair) for shear bloody mindedness with absolutely no reason for it. Every restaurant in South America, particularly high end, if you ask them to call you a cab they will without question. I was met with a resounding no , with no explanation, my Spanish is perfectly good enough to understand why she couldn't or wouldn't ring one but she beckoned us out into the monsoon rain to hail a taxi off the street with no explanation. (Free cabs are like gold dust in a major storm). We didn't have umbrellas or anything- and we had just dropped 50 USD on this meal. Absolutely incompetent service and on a Sunday evening!! Would be slightly more understandable if they were run off their feet but they weren't- they were literally standing around doing nothing.
I would actively encourage anyone to avoid this place. There are so many great options to eat in Palermo soho without wasting your time and money here. And Sans, please get rid of that waitress- she gives...
Read moreAs a place to grab breakfast on a weekend day this place is a 5 star! The breakfast is until 12:00 We came at 11:55 and took our time studying the menu (breakfast is on the last page) and we were able to order breakfast. I got the coffee + eggs with ham, toast, jam, cream cheese, orange juice and water for 1950$ The eggs were amazing, they were creamy and there was a lot of nicely toasted ham. So much toast that I couldn't finish it myself With a big portion of homemade jam and cream cheese. The only problem was the coffee. I ordered a flat white and my friend ordered a coffee tonic and they were both disgusting. I never knew that you can ruin a what white soooo much. Nothing could save it, I added some suger, then some jam and even some ice (maybe the jam was a mistake) but nothing could save it. This was my first undrin cup of coffee.
So as a breakfast on weekdays this place is amaizing, 100% recommended but just change the coffee to tea 😅 Have a...
Read moreI rarely feel uncomfortable in any place but today it was the limit and that's why I only give one star to this place. As soon as I entered the bar I noticed plenty of "medilaunas" . I went upstairs and I ordered one of these medialunas. The waitress replied that probably there would not be anymore left. Later on she confirmed there were none: Since I couldn't believe that these croissants had been all ordered I went down to find out to check myself and with no surprise there were lots of them. I told another girl what had just happened and she kindly gave one for me! Once upstairs again I showed the first waitress that the medialunas were not finished at all. Apart from this fact I was upset because she didn't even say that she was sorry. Moreover at the moment of our check she didn't gave us...
