Koyo Restaurant is a delightful gem for those who appreciate the vibrant flavors and traditional cooking methods of Pan-Asian cuisine. The ambience of Koyo immediately sets a welcoming tone, drawing diners into a space where culinary craftsmanship takes center stage. One cannot visit Koyo without sampling their umami chicken wings. These wings are masterfully cooked on a Japanese robata grill, achieving a perfect balance of smoky and savory that leaves a memorable aftertaste begging for another bite. Another standout is the ramen with Wagyu. This dish elevates the noodle soup experience with rich, tender Wagyu beef that effortlessly complements the silky broth. A unique addition to the menu is the aveluk kimchi, an innovative twist using local sorrel. This dish stands out for its creativity and the way it marries local ingredients with traditional Korean techniques, offering a refreshing, tangy bite that cuts through the richer flavors of other dishes. And many others such as Bao Burger-Bao bun, wagyu beef, onion jam, truffle sauce, cabbage kimchi, pickled cucumbers, etc.
Having visited Koyo several times, the quality of the food is consistent, and the experience remains delightful with each visit. However, after multiple visits, the menu can start to feel a bit familiar. We suggested to the management the idea of introducing daily specials to add some variety, which could enhance the dining experience for regular patrons like us.
I strongly recommend Koyo Restaurant. Whether you're a fan of Pan-Asian cuisine or just exploring, Koyo offers a culinary journey worth taking. The thoughtful combination of bright flavors and traditional techniques makes each meal a delight. Don't miss out on this exceptional...
Read moreThey have a very cheap policy. The factor of a good restaurant is not just food and a beautiful environment. First of all, it’s very expensive it feels like you’re in New York, not in Yerevan. Second, we went as a group of four to celebrate an occasion. I called them yesterday and asked if they had a cake. They said no, only for photos or a slice of cake. I said, no problem, can I bring my own cake and candles for our celebration? They said yes you can.
I bought a cake myself and brought it. After dinner I asked, please bring out our cake. They brought it out, but no congratulations, nothing. The worst part is that on the bill they had charged 10,000 AMD just for bringing out my own cake to the table.
If a restaurant is truly classy, they would at least say congratulations or give a small gesture, not bring out a cake I bought myself and charge me for it. In the end, I expressed my dissatisfaction, and they removed the 10,000 charge. Even though I still left that amount as a tip, I will never go back there again, and I will not recommend it to my friends. Because they ruined my special day with...
Read moreHands down one of the best restaurants in Yerevan, no surprise, I know the group’s restaurants in Moscow, and food is delicious there too! I have no clue why some of the reviewers are mad about the prices or portions, it is normal for such concepts, also the food is truly delicious and the service is excellent, stylish interior and top notch location! Our waiter advised us well, and was super attentive. Best kimchi ever, delicious cucumbers, juicy bao burger that bursts with flavour. Crab dumplings are to die for. Wagyu gedza’s, scallop hand rolls and open crab rolls are also good. Outstanding cocktails. The only dish that needs some extra thought put into is the scallop sashimi. It’s not bad, just not good either, the slices are just too thin and the sauce overpowers all...
