Tun Lahmajo — Restaurant in Yerevan

Very bad service! I'm a tourist here in Armenia and this is a bad impression for us. It was highly recommended by our tour guide and we didnt expect to see such service. We have visited a lot of restaurants here in Yerevan and this is the worst, if only there is negative star I will put like that. It was late at night and we tried to search for this place by walk. When we arrived its like no one noticed us, I asked the lady for a table for 3 she said its full inside and we can sit outside. She didnt guide us, instead I went inside again and asked another guy he said there are tables inside we can choose. We waited for like 10mins or more and no one gave us the menu, I had to ask my husband to get it. After choosing our food, they just pass in front of us and no one took our orders. My husband asked one guy and he said wait for the waiter, then the waitress passed and we asked to take our order and she said one minute. Another guy walked in front of us, we said pls take our order and he said one minute. Few mins passed no one came. Our child was complaining of hunger and its like no one noticed us. Considering there are a lot of English speaking tourists based on the reviews, I feel like they could improve on English speaking staff. However I speak Russian so language wasn't a problem. However, the service was painfully slow. The staff are clearly very overworked. We waited 30mns for drinks, we couldn't get the bill from anyone until we walked to the front of the restaurant. Food was nice when it came. Except one of the dishes, they served 2 portions which were for 2 people not sitting opposite each other in 1 dish and the lady never said so, so 1 person ate 2 portions we found out after asking where the food was 30mns later. No apology, nothing. Very strange...

Lahmajo is great. The service is borderline non-existent, it would almost work better as a self-service kiosk. There are not enough waiters or something, but they are stressed to limit. You wait for 30 minutes for someone to show up, then 30 minutes to get half of the order, rest of the order is in black hole. Whether it will arrive or no is up to gods of chaos. 5 tables around us - all had the same problem. When a waiter shows up they are bombarded with "where is half of my order". And there is a line of people waiting outside. This is quite baffling, one would think the optimal strategy is to have people eat and leave as fast as possible if you...
