YANG Izakaya — Restaurant in Yerevan

This place offers a beautiful and stylish interior and a nice variety of asian dishes. I wanted to visit this place for a long time as I love asian cuisine. The service is simply great! You will be served with a smile, humor and friendly advice on the order. We ordered shrimp dumplings (2700AMD), a dish with steamed spinach (1600AMD), matcha latte (2000AMD) and mochi for the dessert (2500 AMD for 2). All dishes looked and tasted great, although there were little flaws like spinach being a bit rough and the cashews being a bit burnt, but the sauce was sensational. The dumplings were fresh and perfectly cooked. I want to specifically mention the dessert - mango mochi were so good, I can't even tell you! It was like a delicate cream heaven! The only minus are the prices, which are a bit high for our country. Of course, nowadays every cafe and restaurant is raising their prices, but I would like them to stay lower...

If you are a tourist fond of Japanese food, Please do not go here. Food was OK at best, it was not authentic nor special. The vibes and interiors look amazing but the food is not and I did not have high expectations to begin with. :( The chicken karaage we ordered did not taste fresh at all, it tasted nasty. The sweet and sour pork was quite good but we found some of the pieces were RAW in the middle of our meal. For a japanese restaurant their rice is badly cooked and they do not use japanese rice.

OMG! Best sushi we had in Yerevan. I cant even describe it. It was so great and delicious that i will definitely go to the next time i be in Yerevan. Every thing we ordered was awesome specially the sushi. Cocktails were unique and saki was smooth. Waiters were polite, kind and speaks english. She recommend a really delicious sushi roll to us, so i guess she was very helpful too. Prices comparing to other sushi places was a bit higher but it definitely worth it.
