BRKLYN — Restaurant in Adelaide

Had a booking for dinner at 7pm on the balcony and when we arrived nothing was set up for us. Staff had forgotten to put reserved signs out. A group was at our table and refused to move. Instead of refusing that group service, staff let them stay there and tried to put us on a tiny round table inside, where it was so loud we couldn’t hear anything, and they expected 6 of us to eat dinner. The only reason I have 2 stars for service was because of Ollie. He had just come onto shift and tried his best to rectify the mess the previous staff had created. He put us in a private room at the back. By this time it was 7.30. However when we went to order, a member of our group is coeliac and there were very limited options. A waitress went through the menu and said she would come back after talking to the chef to let us know what options they could provide and she never returned. The girl behind the bar was rude and snappy, there were not enough bar staff, someone had vomited all over the floor near the toilets and the whole place sucked. We left without ordering and no one even noticed. Will never go back or recommend to anyone else. Very disappointing for our Xmas catch up and birthday...

My first visit to this bar. Went on a Friday evening (3-feb-2025) with my adult daughter for a pre-dinner cocktail about 6:30pm. Tried a couple of cocktails we hadn’t tried before. I had a mango one and discovered later that it was the invention of one of the bartenders who we chatted with and he and the others were very nice and knew their trade! The cocktails were delicious. Not too sweet, just how I like my drinks but there is a huge choice from beers to super dry cocktails to syrupy ones so everyone is catered for. A LOT of choice. There were a lot of younger people enjoying the venue plus a few older bods like me. It was very nice and vibrant. I suspect, looking at other reviews, it gets VERY lively later on but it is a good place for that pre-dinner drink. Maybe check the menu if you plan to eat there as I think it is mainly bar-style delights rather than full on steaks and roasts, but I could be wrong. We didn’t eat there but the food we saw being delivered to others looked like pretty substantial servings. I would eat there next visit,...

I hate to complain but the food was very ordinary. For such a limited menu each dish should be at it's best at the very least hot. I had the Taco Trio the prawns, chicken and beef were completely cold. I felt very uncomfortable to return it to the kitchen but they were very good about it. It was re-made and returned to me but unfortunately again the prawns and chicken were barely warm and the beef stone cold. I did my best to politely eat it, I didn't want to return it again but I did not touch the beef sorry, cold beef mince, yuck! The lighting was very low and got turned down lower, it was so hard to read the drinks/food menu. I think at 7pm the lights on a little brighter isn't risking mood kill and then they could be turned down later on when it's a different crowd. I was recommended to go there and booked ahead for our night out. For the choice I saw in person that end of Rundle Street, I was disappointed with our choice of BRKLYN, sorry guys. The competition is too great for turning out cold food...
