Went here for breakfast on last Saturday morning Really excited as hearing āJamaica Blueā coffee is amazing!
Went to the counter to order, the girl at the counter said āsorry, If you donāt mind to wait a bit for food as the cook went to toiletā.. š³š³š³
Coffee arrived first, we ordered Flat white and mocha. Flat white taste like hot water āflavouredā with Milk⦠mochaā¦more like hot milk with pinch of chocolate powder on top, for coffee 3 out of 10. Sorry guys šš»
After over 20 mins waiting, the Food arrived, we ordered Eggs benny and Spicy Pork Belly and Egg roll. Again, absolutely disappointed with the food!
Eggs Benny : Eggs freezing cold! Bacon freezing cold in parts . Bread not toast absolutely freezing cold! Avocado taste very āstrangeā- if you ever try avocado paste in the tube, that is how it tasted like. Avocado tasted Plasticity and chemically very strange flavour! Benny sauce was Ok and vary sparce overall 1.5 out of 10 guys! The facts that everything on the plate was super COLD .. not sure how long the food was cooked and sitting before it was served possibly even pre cooked and then warmed.
Spicy Pork belly with eggs roll: Againā¦. Lost the word. Fried eggs again was FREEZING cold, the eggs yolk sort of frozen. I felt like the eggs was fried prior and put in the fridge before assembled and served to us. Bread roll, hard as a rock, spicy sauce (taste like Siracha sauce) seems like from the fridge, and prok belly AGAIN⦠sooo cold!
Very very very disappointed with the food quality. Considering it was operated at the lobby of Hospital (Calvary Hospital) it should meet the expectations! Not expecting extraordinary superb fancy quality food, it is enough if we being served with fresh cook / warm breakfast. I am ok if it was a little bit cold but if it is FREEZING COLD⦠something is not right here guys.!

Ā Ā Ā Read moreAfter approximately 118 minutes into our visit, the waiter told us that the chairs had a 120 minute limit. This was less time than we wanted to use the chairs. Coffee was not terrible and the view was nice out the window. However, on Sunday the 11th of February, we were told by an overzealous staff member that remaining in the seats of the cafe beyond 120 minutes was not allowed. As paying customers, we were mortified to discover that we had been enjoying the atmosphere more than we should have.
Therefore, we went upstairs to the Three of Cups where there were welcoming humans with real personality, positive vibes, and good tea. They were less zealous capitalists who enjoyed our company, in fact we purchased additional sustenance from them in compensation for the positive exchange.
It's disturbing that someone paid enough attention to how long we stayed in the cafe (with 20% occupancy) and had the audacity to explain how a 2 hour limit is necessary to provide empty seats in a mostly empty establishment, for two other people who may wish to use the particular seats we were occupying.
Just remember, the 2 hour limit applies and you must enjoy yourself only within that timeframe, even if...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI visited Jamaica Blue at Myer Centre today for a Friday lunch, drawn in by the $16.90 crepes with chicken and mushroom, served with a salad. I was excited, hoping for something similar to the delicious savory crepes I had in Greece recently.
Unfortunately, what I received was disappointing. The two rolled-up crepes looked unappetizing and pale. They were soggy, floury, and lacked any real flavor. The grainy dairy filling inside didn't help either. As for the salad, I didn't even botherāits appearance alone was uninviting.
On my way out, I noticed the crepes sitting pre-prepared in the display window, which explained their poor quality. Crepes should be made fresh and folded, not rolled and reheated. Overall, a terrible lunch experience, and much better value can be found in the food...
