It has been a while since I’ve been back to Yiros house, used to love visiting for a decent Yiros or AB whenever after school. But now things weren’t as good as it used to be.

First thing that was sort of disappointing was the lack of acknowledgement. It was a quiet day so I thought I’d pop by for a nice Yiros only to be left standing and waiting in front of staff who wilfully ignored me while he roamed the kitchen. Understandably, if you needed to clean and put things away that’s fine but at least let the customer know they’ll be waiting 25min. Second, the only good thing about the Yiros was how well it was toasted. Why does the Greek garlic sauce (which should have a smooth Creme colour and texture) taste like thick powdered sauce with a sandy texture. The meat was very dry and chewy which was alright but kinda weird, there were only two to three customers that came by during lunch but they gave the leftover meat that was chilling in the tray. Lastly, the price was a gouge which usually makes sense but this was just outright crazy. You have a mini ($12.50ish) and a regular ($15.50ish) which was average price gouge (was hungry so couldn’t really care too much) but why does it say comes with sauce but charge me for it (plus tabouli but tbf I asked for that so it’s fine tho ngl every other places just have that included with lettuce, onions, meat, tomato, and sauce so already gauging prices already here haha) so basically $17 instead. For those who want to try a decent Yiros without getting weirdly priced and have at least decently cooked, I recommend any other places besides Yiros House. It’s gone down and honestly just disappointed to see an old classic Rundle shop gone down the drain, guess they just don’t...

Well I just missed the place I would normally go so thought well let's try something different. 3 lamb yiros $70 I purchased from the yiros house. By far the worst yiros I have ever tried to eat in my life. The pita was cold and crunchy the meat had no flavour the lettuce onion and tomato well it's not hard to use fresh produce, but the garlic sauce that was given to me in 3 small containers because they forgot to put any sauce on at all, was terrible that is what every customer gets when they ask for garlic sauce it's horrible, maybe it's time to ask google for a new recipe because that was the worst tasting sauce I have ever tasted that is not garlic sauce. Surely there are enough reviews on here that some serious changes need to be made with the quality of food that's been sold to you customers. because this business should be ashamed to even let this quality of food leave the kitchen. Sorry guys I won't be back nor will I recommend you to anyone....

Absolutely! Here's a 5-star review for A Yiros House:

"I recently had the pleasure of dining at A Yiros House, and it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. The warm and inviting ambiance set the stage for a delightful evening. The menu offered a fantastic variety of yiros options, each bursting with flavor.

The service was impeccable – attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable staff made the dining experience truly enjoyable. The yiros itself was a culinary masterpiece, with fresh and high-quality ingredients. Every bite was a savory delight, and the portions were satisfying.

The attention to detail in both presentation and taste showcased the chef's expertise. A Yiros House truly knows how to elevate Greek cuisine to a whole new level. Whether you're a yiros enthusiast or new to this delicious fare, I highly recommend A Yiros House for a memorable dining experience. Five stars well-deserved!"

Willing to go again and...

First thing first, have to to on a busy time like 12am or 1am Friday, Saturday and Sunday to have good food there. Most of the reviews are in dull time can tell. That’s why all the foods reviewed are bad, which is true. In my case, I went there on busy time at 1am. Food was prepared right Infront us. Chips(medium) were okay and hot. Also the yiros did not that take that much of a time. Came pretty quick. Overall food was okay. Eaten far more better yiros and chips than this with this price. Little bits of tomato, cabbage and some sauce that’s it. Lamb wasn’t that very good. Wasn’t that much of hot but not cold. Worth the money? No. But hungry and need halal food at 1am? Yes. Also no manner or professionalism with the service from the staffs. Just talking and chilling by the looks of it. No maintenance. Hope they take the reviews and complain seriously. Crazy ratings still no development or improvement.

We ordered a combo AB, no mustard no mayo. Overall, fantastic service. Twas quick and efficient, lovely lad behind counter. Relatively generous serving, although would appreciate a more magnanimous and diverse proportion of sauces. Unfortunately felt that sweet chili dominated the tasty box. An increase in the serving of chicken salt would have ultimately cultivated a more enjoyable experience. Chicken was lacking where lamb conquered, this being said, I did almost die from the lamb asphyxiation. Was at a scoff-able temperature, yet this was grayed by the distasteful, drunken atmosphere which was exacerbated by the over-use of the un-funny hot dog water joke. Would recommend if feining for AB.
