It has been a while since Iâve been back to Yiros house, used to love visiting for a decent Yiros or AB whenever after school. But now things werenât as good as it used to be.
First thing that was sort of disappointing was the lack of acknowledgement. It was a quiet day so I thought Iâd pop by for a nice Yiros only to be left standing and waiting in front of staff who wilfully ignored me while he roamed the kitchen. Understandably, if you needed to clean and put things away thatâs fine but at least let the customer know theyâll be waiting 25min. Second, the only good thing about the Yiros was how well it was toasted. Why does the Greek garlic sauce (which should have a smooth Creme colour and texture) taste like thick powdered sauce with a sandy texture. The meat was very dry and chewy which was alright but kinda weird, there were only two to three customers that came by during lunch but they gave the leftover meat that was chilling in the tray. Lastly, the price was a gouge which usually makes sense but this was just outright crazy. You have a mini ($12.50ish) and a regular ($15.50ish) which was average price gouge (was hungry so couldnât really care too much) but why does it say comes with sauce but charge me for it (plus tabouli but tbf I asked for that so itâs fine tho ngl every other places just have that included with lettuce, onions, meat, tomato, and sauce so already gauging prices already here haha) so basically $17 instead. For those who want to try a decent Yiros without getting weirdly priced and have at least decently cooked, I recommend any other places besides Yiros House. Itâs gone down and honestly just disappointed to see an old classic Rundle shop gone down the drain, guess they just donât...
Read moreWell I just missed the place I would normally go so thought well let's try something different. 3 lamb yiros $70 I purchased from the yiros house. By far the worst yiros I have ever tried to eat in my life. The pita was cold and crunchy the meat had no flavour the lettuce onion and tomato well it's not hard to use fresh produce, but the garlic sauce that was given to me in 3 small containers because they forgot to put any sauce on at all, was terrible that is what every customer gets when they ask for garlic sauce it's horrible, maybe it's time to ask google for a new recipe because that was the worst tasting sauce I have ever tasted that is not garlic sauce. Surely there are enough reviews on here that some serious changes need to be made with the quality of food that's been sold to you customers. because this business should be ashamed to even let this quality of food leave the kitchen. Sorry guys I won't be back nor will I recommend you to anyone....
