I was in the area and popped in for a can of Coke Zero, a seat, a glass and some ice which cost me $6.10! When I questioned the exorbitant price, the owner became incredibly rude and defensive. Feels like he made up the price on the spot. Plenty of other great places to visit in the area. Don’t bother here. Can’t imagine what a full meal would set you back. Sad really.
Response to owners comment: I certainly don’t recall seeing a price board. If I had seen the price of a can of Coke Zero, I would’ve taken my custom elsewhere. That’s for sure.
The issue here, from my pov, is the value you have placed on the service, a glass with ice and a table and chair with ambience. I’ve never been to another restaurant that’s charged me $6.10 for the same.
You were very quick to defend the price you charged me - it really feels like you were annoyed I only came in for a drink and no food. There were a sum total of 6 other patrons in your venue at that time - I did not take away the opportunity for you to serve anyone else. Not sure why you wanted to punish me for that.
Anyway as I mentioned, you are free to value these things as you wish, it’s your business after all. Equally, I am free...
Read moreWe dined here on the 15th November on holiday in Geelong. Wow , the pizza ... best ever.. chewy, charred pillowy crust ..perfect amount of topping. We had margarita and vegan ( didn't realize had no cheese , but the didn't matter ,great flavors. Also lemon anchovies..yum . However they lost a star from me because of service. We arrived at 5 , no booking. The restaurant empty. We were seated at side table with metal stool seating. My brother is a pensioner with a back injury so we asked if we could swap stool for a chair. The waitress said No. I said we won't be long , won't linger. She said she could not do . I was ok as I was in a wheelchair so had a comfortable seat. We left about 6.15 and only one other table was occupied. Cannot understand this lack of flexibility or hospitality.. fabulous place but was disappointed by this...
Read moreLou’s is tucked away in a little ally just off the little Malop street away from the hustle and bustle. We really enjoyed my time here. Emily our server was incredibly attentive and sweet, very easy to talk to and informative. There was a another waiter didn’t know his name but he was just as nice. I was definitely blown away by the burst of flavour from each dish. We ordered a margarita pizza, meatballs and burrata and all I can say is the amount of flavour in each dish was phenomenal. We sat outside at Lou’s and enjoyed the tunes that were playing! Old school tunes. We both got cocktails/wine. Glasses were nice to drink from and the cocktails were made perfectly. I will most definitely recommend this place to...
